Endometriosis causes abnormal tissue growth in and around the uterus, and is one of the leading causes of infertility in women. The condition occurs in as many as 1 in 10 women, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In another post to Halsey\u2019s Stories, they wrote, \u201cendometriosis gang.\u201d<\/p>\n
The performer has often been candid about having the chronic illness. (The disorder, in which tissue similar to the tissue that lines the uterus grows outside the uterus in places where it doesn\u2019t belong, affects one in 10 menstruating people.)<\/p>\n
Back in 2018, the popstar opened up about their battle with endometriosis after they suffered a miscarriage<\/a> shortly after being diagnosed with the condition.<\/p>\n\u201cBefore I could even really figure out what that meant to me and what that meant for my future, for my career, for my life, for my relationship\u2026the next thing I know I was onstage miscarrying in the middle of my concert,\u201d the musician recalled about the experience on The Doctors<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\nThe tragic event ultimately led Halsey to get \u201caggressive\u201d treatment, freeze their eggs and undergo surgery.<\/p>\n
