The \u2018Billy Madison\u2019 actor, 57, who picked up the People\u2019s Icon Award at the People\u2019s Choice Awards on 18 February, has now told People magazine he thinks it should honour him as the planet\u2019s SMA.<\/p>\n
He said about his wish to top the publication\u2019s long-running league table of most desirable men: \u201cIt\u2019s something that I think is good for the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
Adam joked while picking up his Icon trophy he mistakenly thought he was getting People magazine\u2019s famed SMA title.<\/p>\n
He quipped he blamed the mix-up on a \u201cmiscommunication\u201d between him and his agent while making his speech at the Choice awards \u2013 then read from a thank-you he said he had pre-prepared in readiness to accept the SMA title.<\/p>\n
\nDad-of-two Adam said on stage at the People\u2019s Choice Awards in the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California: \u201cMy name is Adam Sandler and I am the Sexiest Man Alive \u2013 can I get a hell yeah?<\/p>\n
\n\u201cTo the People magazine\u2019s academy members of hotness and sexual attractiveness, I would like to say thank you for recognising me as the man who made our entire country the horniest this year and was by far the most-talked-about person in the bedroom by couples or throuples during fantasy role plays and sloppy time.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cCan I get another hell yeah?\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAdam then joked that he\u2019d been eagerly anticipating becoming SMA for years, adding: \u201cI am trying to be gracious, People Magazine, but I have to admit three words keep popping into my head right now: \u2018It’s about freaking time!\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cFor decades, Adam Sandler has been waiting patiently on the sexy bench.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAdam flashes his body in the new Netflix movie \u2018Spaceman\u2019, which sees him plays Jakub Prochazka, an astronaut on a long solo mission in outer space after his wife, and admitted he thinks he should have been referred to in the script as \u201cchubby astronaut\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
