The singer, 54, who got married to her on-off love Ben Affleck<\/a>, 51, in Las Vegas in 2022, opened up about the horrors of her previous romances in her new documentary \u2018The Greatest Love Story Never Told\u2019.<\/p>\n

She says in the film: \u201cThere were people in my life who said, \u2018I love you\u2019, and then didn\u2019t do things that were kind of in line with the word \u2018love\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer, who had twins Max and Emme in 2008 with her ex-husband Marc Anthony<\/a>, 55, added a therapist once asked her how she would tackle an abusive situation if it were happening to her daughter, saying: \u201cIt was so clear. I\u2019d tell her get out of here and never look back, but for me, it was so clouded and complicated. It was like looking through fog.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer stressed she was never beaten by one of her exes, but said she was shoved around.<\/p>\n

\nShe added: \u201cBeing thrown around and manhandled like that is not fun.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cI mean, I was never in a relationship where I got beat up, thank God, but I\u2019ve definitely been manhandled and a couple of other unsavoury things.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cRough. Disrespectful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nShe also details her traumatic past in a scene from her new musical film \u2018This Is Me\u2026Now: A Love Story\u2019 called \u2018The Glass House\u2019, during which she sings her poignant song \u2018Rebound\u2019.<\/p>\n

\nIt contains the lyrics: \u201cYou have to hit rock bottom where you\u2019re in situations so uncomfortable and so painful that you finally go, \u2018I don\u2019t want this anymore.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\nAnd in Jennifer\u2019s 2014 memoir \u2018True Love\u2019 she told how she was \u201cmentally, emotionally (and) verbally\u201d abused \u2013 but, just like in her new film, did not name anyone.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
