The 40-year-old \u2018Dune\u2019 actress, who started her career as a teen in a Swedish soap opera, opened up about her trauma over the event on a new podcast, saying it was the result of an \u201cabsolute idiot\u201d actor she said she\u2019ll never act alongside again.<\/p>\n
She said during an appearance on the \u2018Reign with Josh Smith\u2019 show: \u201cI remember there was a moment and this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn\u2019t get the scenes out.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at. <\/p>\n
\u201cBut because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back. And I would cry walking off set.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRebecca added the unnamed co-star \u2013 who she confirmed was not Tom Cruise or Hugh Jackman, who she acted alongside in \u2018Mission Impossible\u2019 and \u2018The Greatest Showman respectively \u2013 would also ask her questions such as: \u201cYou call yourself an actor?\u201d and \u201cThis is what I have to work with?\u201d in front of the cast and crew.<\/p>\n
\nRebecca added: \u201cI stood there just breaking.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe also opened up about how no senior bosses on the film came to her aid.<\/p>\n
\nBut she said she ended up standing up for herself a day after the actor\u2019s tirade, and told them: \u201cYou get off my set.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRebecca said about the face-off: \u201cI remember being so scared. I looked at this person and I said, \u201cYou can F\u2013 off. I\u2019m gonna work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe added when she asked the director why her co-star\u2019s behaviour had been tolerated they said: \u201cYou\u2019re right. I am not taking care of everyone else. I\u2019m trying to fluff this person. Because it’s so unstable.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nRebecca added things calmed down after her confrontations, saying: \u201cIt was great from that moment, but it took so long for me to get to that.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s within my last 10 or 12 years and I\u2019ve acted since I was 16.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
