\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a> has released the first trailer for his new project!<\/p>\n On Monday (February 26), the 69-year-old actor debuted the trailer for his four-part post-Civil War Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga<\/em><\/strong>, which he stars in, directed, produced, and co-wrote with Jon Baird<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The cast also includes Sienna Miller<\/strong><\/a>, Sam Worthington<\/strong><\/a>, Jena Malone<\/strong><\/a>, Abbey Lee<\/strong><\/a>, Michael Rooker<\/strong><\/a>, Danny Huston<\/strong><\/a>, Luke Wilson<\/strong><\/a>, Isabelle Fuhrman<\/strong><\/a>, Jeff Fahey<\/strong><\/a>, Will Patton<\/strong><\/a>, Tantanka Means<\/strong><\/a>, Owen Crow Shoe<\/strong><\/a>, Ella Hunt<\/strong><\/a>, and Jamie Campbell Bower<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Horizon<\/em>, which follows the expansion into Western America, marks Kevin<\/strong>\u2018s return to the director\u2019s chair for the first time in 20 years.<\/p>\n Chapter 1 is set to hit theaters on June 28 while Chapter 2 will be released on August 16. Parts three and four of the project have not been filmed yet.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen no one wanted to make the first one, I got the bright idea to make four,\u201d Kevin<\/strong> said during a panel discussion about the trailer, according to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/em>. \u201cSo I don\u2019t know what\u2019s wrong with me. But I wanted it to step away from what we usually see in Westerns where there\u2019s a town that\u2019s already there. No one knows how [the town] came to be. \u2026 We have a lot of Westerns that aren\u2019t good too because they get simplified. [But] this isn\u2019t Disneyland. These are real lives.\u201d<\/p>\n The project has been a 30-year journey for Kevin<\/strong>, who took out a second mortgage on his Santa Barbara house to help finance the movie. Kevin<\/strong> also noted that the first two movies has added $100 million to the economy in Utah, which is where they filmed.<\/p>\n Kevin<\/strong> also recently opened up about leaving Yellowstone<\/em> in part to focus on Horizon<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \n
