Kieran Culkin<\/strong><\/a> and Pedro Pascal<\/strong><\/a> have referenced their \u201cfeud\u201d multiple times during awards season, but what\u2019s really going on?<\/p>\n

The drama began when Culkin, 41, called out Pascal, 48, during his Golden Globes<\/a> speech earlier this month while accepting the trophy for Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series \u2014 Drama for his role as Roman Roy in Succession<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was nominated for a Golden Globe, like, 20 years ago, and when that moment passed, I sort of remember thinking, \u2018I\u2019m never going to be back in this room again.\u2019 Which was fine, whatever,\u201d Culkin said on January 7. \u201cBut thanks to Succession<\/em>, I\u2019ve been in here a couple times. It\u2019s nice, but I sort of accepted I was never going to be on this stage, so this is a nice moment. Suck it, Pedro. Sorry. Mine!\u201d<\/p>\n

Pascal was nominated in the same category for his performance as Joel Miller in The Last of Us<\/em><\/a>. After Culkin made his joke, the camera panned to Pascal, who pretended to cry<\/a> over the dig.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe 2023 Emmy Awards were all about TV reunions, including the cast of Grey\u2019s Anatomy and Cheers, big wins and touching speeches \u2014 but not all the night\u2019s top moments made it on air. The 75th Primetime Emmys were hosted by Anthony Anderson, who enlisted his mom, Doris Hancox, to make sure all the winners [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A little over a week later, the men came head-to-head a second time at the Emmy Awards<\/a> on January 15. This time, Pascal had the upper hand when presenting Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. (Matthew Macfadyen<\/strong> took home the award for his role as Tom Wambsgans in Succession.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to just take a second and make this about me,\u201d Pascal, whose right arm was in a sling, joked while taking the stage. \u201cA lot of people have been asking about my arm. It\u2019s actually my shoulder, and I think tonight is a perfect time to tell everyone that Kieran Culkin beat the s\u2013t out of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The crowd laughed as the camera panned to Culkin, who had a rather serious look on his face. Pascal also started to laugh while announcing the nominees, and Culkin eventually broke out into a smile.<\/p>\n

After the Emmy Awards came to an end, however, Culkin and Pascal put any feud rumors to rest during the afterparties. The duo were photographed hanging out during HBO and Max\u2019s reception. Pascal even included a selfie<\/a> with Culkin in his January 16 photo roundup from the awards show.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFrom bit parts to starring roles. Pedro Pascal spent nearly two decades taking one-off acting gigs in film and television before he rose to prominence for his role on Game of Thrones in 2014. The Chile native joined the cast of the fantasy drama in season 4 as Oberyn Martell. \u201cIt was a dream, you [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While Culkin didn\u2019t actually have a physical altercation with Pascal, there hasn\u2019t been much information to go on when it comes to the nature of Pascal\u2019s arm \u2014 ahem, shoulder \u2014 injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cI fell!\u201d he told reporters on the Golden Globes red carpet. \u201cBe careful. It can happen to anybody.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

Pascal and Culkin faced off once again at the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards in February, where they were both nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. During the February 24 awards show, Pascal came out victorious <\/span><\/a>and Culkin applauded his win.<\/p>\n

While some A-list beefs seem inevitable \u2014 Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B, for example, or Jef Holm vs. Arie Luyendyk Jr. \u2014 others seem to come out of nowhere. Freddie Prinze Jr., for instance, spoke ill [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna make out with Kieran, that\u2019ll be my revenge. I did know him [before this awards circuit], he is the greatest,\u201d Pascal said in his post-victory speech, talking about their history with host Tan France<\/b>. \u201cI can remember years and years ago, taking one of my siblings to FAO Schwarz \u2026 and he came up to me and complimented me on my work in this play.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt\u2019s been amazing to see him in this show and I feel guilty about not seeing his speech tonight, but he\u2019ll be fine. But, I got to give things a fair amount of balance.\u201d<\/p>\n
