Marvel Studios has assembled a fantastic cast for its next superhero team.<\/p>\n

In February 2024, Pedro Pascal<\/strong><\/a> and Vanessa Kirby<\/strong><\/a> were confirmed to be leading Marvel\u2019s The Fantastic Four<\/em> movie as Reed Richards\/Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm\/the Invisible Woman, respectively. Completing the film\u2019s titular quartet are Joseph Quinn<\/strong><\/a> as Johnny Storm\/the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach<\/strong><\/a> as Ben Grimm\/the Thing.<\/p>\n

The movie, set for a 2025 release, marks the third big screen iteration of the comic book series. Before starring as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (a.k.a. MCU), Chris Evans<\/strong> starred as Johnny Storm in 2005\u2019s Fantastic Four<\/em> and its 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer<\/em>, alongside Ioan Gruffudd<\/strong>, Jessica Alba<\/strong> and Michael Chiklis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The heroes were rebooted again in 2015\u2019s Fantastic Four<\/em>, which starred Miles Teller<\/strong>, Kate Mara<\/strong>, Michael B. Jordan<\/strong> and Jamie Bell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Marvel announced the film\u2019s casting in February 2024 by paying homage to the characters\u2019 origins with a 1960s-inspired poster. \u201cHappy Valentine\u2019s Day from Marvel\u2019s First Family!\u201d read the caption of the Instagram<\/a> reveal, which featured illustrated versions of the actors sitting in a living room in comic-accurate costumes.<\/p>\n

When Does \u2018The Fantastic Four\u2019 Hit Theaters?<\/h3>\n

The film will premiere on July 25, 2025, two months after the release of Marvel\u2019s Thunderbolts<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who Is Starring in \u2018The Fantastic Four?\u2019<\/h3>\n

Apart from Pascal, Kirby, Quinn and Moss-Bachrach, no other casting has been announced. However, the cast has Pascal stoked. \u201c[I\u2019m] beyond excited, especially to be in that cast, more than anything, with that director Matt Shakman,\u201d Pascal told Access Hollywood<\/em><\/a> in February 2024. \u201cTo be invited into a family like that is a dream come true, and I can\u2019t wait to spend all of my time with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Will Happen in \u2018The Fantastic Four?\u2019<\/h3>\n

In true Marvel fashion, plot details for the film are being kept under wraps. However, the February 2024 poster provided a slight clue about how the team\u2019s comic book origins might be incorporated into the movie.<\/p>\n

A photo frame featuring a picture of Ben Grimm (pre-Thing transformation) can be seen in the background of the poster\u2019s living room setting. In the comics, the foursome received their powers as a result of a space flight gone wrong. The astronaut Easter egg could suggest the characters will get their abilities in a similar way in the film.<\/p>\n

Will \u2018The Fantastic Four\u2019 Be a Part of the MCU?<\/h3>\n

Unlike the Fantastic Four\u2019s previous onscreen adaptations, the 2025 version will be the first to be set in the MCU. 21st Century Fox owned the film rights to Marvel characters \u2014 including Deadpool, the X-Men and more \u2014 prior to Disney\u2019s acquisition of the studio in 2019. Deadpool 3<\/em><\/a>, which hits theaters in July 2024, will mark the first major crossover between the Fox and Disney universes.<\/p>\n
