Heather Dubrow and her husband are standing strongly alongside their daughter. <\/p>\n
On Saturday, The Real Housewives of Orange County star shared a statement on social media that confirmed her 12-year-old child has come out as transgender \u2014 and now goes by the name Ace.<\/p>\n
Just how does Dubrow feel about the decision?<\/p>\n
She\u2019s proud to tell everyone.<\/p>\n<\/noscript>attends The Alliance For Children\u2019s Rights 26th Annual Dinner at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on March 28, 2018 in Beverly Hills, California.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cIt\u2019s International sons day!\u201d wrote the Bravo personality as a caption to the photo below.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love you, our youngest son, Ace. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur job as parents is to give our kids a safe and supportive environment so they can grow up as healthy, happy, confident, independent humans.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dubrow continued as follows\u2026<\/p>\n\u201cSince Ace is a 12 year old child, with a long life ahead of him \u2013 we will let him tell his own story someday if he chooses to do so.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll we can say is Ace, we love you so much and we are proud to be your parents. <\/p>\n
\u201cYour brother and sisters love and support you too.\u201d<\/p>\n

About a year ago, Heather told People Magazine that one year after Max came out as bisexual\u2026 her second daughter, Kat, came out as lesbian.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve got four kids, they are different genders, different sexualities, and all at interesting places in their lives, figuring out who they are and where they belong as humans,\u201d said the Real Housewife.<\/p>\n
Referring to Ace at the time, Terry said the pre-teen has \u201calways been incredibly strong-willed,\u201d labeling Ace as a \u201cvery complex, layered person.<\/p>\nDubrow admitted in February 2022 that it can be a challenge to see the reaction of people on social media to the identities and preferences of her kids.<\/p>\n
In the end, though?<\/p>\n
\u201cThey\u2019re all solid kids and they have each other\u2019s back,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
\u201cEven if they\u2019re bickering, they protect each other. \u201cShe\u2019s asked me trillions of questions that really show she cares,\u201d said Kat of her mom last year. <\/p>\n
\u201cShe\u2019s asked me about my pronouns. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really easy to talk to her. It\u2019s not like I have to build up courage if I have something to tell her.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
