Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a> has spent the last several months laying out the reasons why it would be a terrible idea to give Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a> a second term in office\u2014reasons that include everything from Trump\u2019s assault on reproductive rights<\/a> to his pledge to be a dictator only \u201con day one<\/a>.\u201d And on Wednesday, the president added another entry to the list: the fact that his opponent appears to have completely lost touch with reality.<\/p>\n Speaking to supporters at a fundraiser in San Francisco, Biden reportedly referred<\/a> to Trump\u2019s claim<\/a> that he and Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny\u2014who recently died in an Arctic penal colony<\/a>\u2014had suffered similar treatment, with the president remarking, \u201cSome of the things that this fellow\u2019s been saying, like he\u2019s comparing himself to Navalny and saying that\u2014because our country\u2019s become a communist country, he was persecuted, just like Navalny was persecuted. I don\u2019t know where the hell this comes from.\u201d Biden added: \u201cI mean, if I stood here 10, 15 years ago and said any of this, you\u2019d all think I should be committed. It astounds me.\u201d<\/p>\n At the same event, Biden called Russian president Vladimir Putin<\/strong> a \u201ccrazy SOB,\u201d a comment the Kremlin apparently didn\u2019t appreciate, with a spokesman responding, \u201cClearly, Mr. Biden behaves in the Hollywood cowboy style to serve internal political interests.\u201d<\/p>\n Anyway, Biden wasn\u2019t the only one who had thoughts to share re: Trump this week. On Wednesday, Florida governor Ron DeSantis<\/strong> told<\/a> supporters that the ex-president accomplished almost nothing of note during his time in office, while New Hampshire governor Chris Sununu<\/strong> said<\/a> Thursday that he\u2019s optimistic about the future of the Republican Party\u2014because Trump won\u2019t rule it forever. \u201cLet me put it a different way,\u201d Sununu said. \u201cAssholes come and go.
