\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Hill Harper<\/strong><\/a> left his hit ABC series The Good Doctor<\/strong><\/a><\/em> at the end of season six and now the show has revealed how they are handling his absence.<\/p>\n The 57-year-old actor played Dr. Marcus Andrews for six seasons and left the show to pursue his political career. He\u2019s running for the Democractic nomination for Michigan\u2019s open Senate seat. <\/p>\n So, how did Marcus exit the show? All was revealed in the season seven premiere, which aired on Tuesday (February 20) on ABC.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n It was explained in the premiere episode that Marcus is traveling the world in search of himself.<\/p>\n Marcus\u2019 girlfriend Dalisay Villaneueva gets a postcard from him and tells a doctor in the hospital that their former co-worker \u201csends his greetings from Spain.\u201d <\/p>\n The doctor said she thought Marcus was \u201cat a meditation retreat in Vietnam,\u201d to which Dalisay responded, \u201cHe was, and now he\u2019s walking the Camino de Santiago.\u201d<\/p>\n The Good Doctor<\/em> executive producer Liz Friedman<\/strong> opened up about the exit.<\/p>\n \u201cSince he got divorced, Andrews has been juggling a lot [at the hospital] and trying to find a fit for himself,\u201d she told TVLine<\/a>. \u201cHe was involved with Salen \u2014 that, obviously, was not meant to be \u2014 and he had a relationship with Villanueva, but I think the job has been very subsuming for him.
