The 39-year-old star has son Bronx, 15, with her ex-husband, and Ashlee and Pete have managed to maintain a good relationship since their split.<\/p>\n
During an appearance on the ‘Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson and Olivia Allen’ podcast, Ashlee shared: “Co-parenting has for me been amazing. Pete’s a great guy.”<\/p>\n
Asked if she’s won the “co-parenting lottery”, Ashlee – who was married to Pete between 2008 and 2011 – replied: “Exactly! That’s what I was just about to say. Won the co-parenting lottery.”<\/p>\n
Evan Ross, Ashlee’s husband, also has a good relationship with her eldest child.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “I feel like also we started when Bronx was two and a half so he didn’t know different.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Ashlee recently revealed that herself and Evan make a concerted effort to keep their romance “alive and fresh”.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer and Evan, 35, will celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary in August, and Ashlee admitted that they’re already looking forward to the landmark occasion.<\/p>\n
\nShe told PEOPLE: “We have big things coming up at the end of the year. It’s our ten-year anniversary, I turn 40, my son turns 16.”<\/p>\n
\nAshlee and Evan have found different ways of keeping their romance “fresh” over the years.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer – who also has Jagger, eight, and Ziggy, three, with her husband – shared: “We always celebrate and have the best time, but I feel like it doesn’t have to just be that day. It’s finding those moments, which my husband’s so good at.<\/p>\n
\n“I feel like if we haven’t had a moment, [he’ll] take me to a hotel or [if] we’ve been in kid land, he’ll surprise me with a nice together alone moment, which is nice.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
