But my concern always is, \u2018OK now what?\u2019\u201d Lowe, 59, told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/rob-lowe-shares-his-concern-with-weight-loss-injections-exclusive-8584936\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>People<\/em><\/a> on Monday, February 19. \u201cWhat\u2019s the plan for the longevity of everything?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lowe explained that he\u2019s less concerned about \u201cdiets\u201d and more focused on maintaining a healthy \u201clifestyle,\u201d but still has quite the sweet tooth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m trying to be even more disciplined now as I\u2019m older just because as you get older, you need to watch what you eat even more than when you were younger,\u201d he said. \u201cSo I tried to cut sugar completely as my new year\u2019s resolution. And now I\u2019m figuring, OK, that\u2019s not sustainable for me, but how do I really watch my sugar consumption?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the past few years, Ozempic has made waves in Hollywood as stars have gotten candid about their experience on the diabetes medication to help them quickly shed weight. The injections are typically used to aid Type 2 diabetes patients in lowering their blood sugar.<\/p>\n<p>Lowe is far from the first celebrity to share his thoughts on utilizing the drug for weight loss purposes. <strong>Tracy Morgan<\/strong> and <strong>Amy Schumer<\/strong> have said they used Ozempic, while <strong>Marie Osmond<\/strong> exclusively told <em>Us Weekly<\/em> in January that she doesn\u2019t think medications like Ozempic and Mounjaro are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/marie-osmond-says-ozempic-isnt-long-term-effective-for-weight-loss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201clong-term effective.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you have to learn that food is not your enemy and you have to do it the right way. That\u2019s my personal opinion,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s healthier that way.
