This year\u2019s first Direct will take place Wednesday morning at 9AM ET, and, according to Nintendo, the 25-minute presentation will feature Switch games \u201ccoming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We didn\u2019t need to consult the video game oracles to know a Nintendo Direct was on the way. Not only have Microsoft<\/a> and PlayStation<\/a> shared their upcoming release schedules, but taking a look at the dates of the last handful of Directs revealed that Nintendo is fond of the first<\/a> week<\/a> of<\/a> February<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the \u201chighly unlikely but hope springs eternal\u201d category of possible announcements, we\u2019ll note it\u2019s been five years since Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4 <\/em>was being rebooted<\/a> and shunted over to Retro Studios \u2014 the same studio that worked on Primes 1-3<\/em>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
