Everybody is so worried about everything right now, how they\u2019re perceived if this art they\u2019ve created is going to offend anyone. It limits creative output to think like that. I\u2019m also just into this idea of lying all the time. Being really truthful, but also lying. F\u2014k it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Charli is also being honest about her last album, 2022\u2019s <em>Crash<\/em>. Her fifth album was Charli\u2019s attempt to make a commercially viable record, per The Face. The duo met when working together on the March 2021 song \u201cSpinning.\u201d Daniel also assisted the \u201cBoom Clap\u201d singer with various songs on her Crash album, which was released in March 2022. Dating rumors were sparked soon after, and [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Charli explained what will be on her next album (its working title is <em>XCX6<\/em>). There will be \u201cirresistible club-pop made by a dyed-in-the-wool party girl,\u201d with music so \u201cbrazen\u201d that it will demolish <em>Crash<\/em>. \u201c[I\u2019m] over this idea of metaphor and beauty in art \u2014 I just want directness from me,\u201d she told <em>The Face<\/em>. \u201cI want things to feel quick and fast and dirty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The next album will be Charli\u2019s \u201cmost aggressive and confrontational\u201d record, adding that she\u2019s prepared for people to \u201cthink I\u2019m a bitch, but I\u2019m not that.\u201d The Face also notes that <em>XCX6<\/em> will have a song about a strained relationship she has with an unnamed female artist, which will likely cause a reaction online.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that, <em>XCX6<\/em> will also explore society\u2019s \u201cfascination with mean girls\u201d and why \u201csuccubus-looking, dead-eyed women\u201d like herself are coded as mean.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI get tired of behaving in a way that people expect me, or expect pop stars, to behave.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/charli-xcx-shades-taylor-swift-fans-after-reputation-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> I\u2019m not a role model<\/a> \u2014 and I never did this because I wanted to be,\u201d she said, adding that she understands that it \u201ccomes with the territory\u201d of being famous.
