Is\u00a0<\/span>Rihanna<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>finally\u00a0<\/span><\/i>ready to drop new music? According to boyfriend\u00a0<\/span>A$AP Rocky<\/a>, her ninth album may be here soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, fans caught up with the 35-year-old rapper while he was out and about in Paris and asked about the status of her upcoming album, which fans have since dubbed\u00a0<\/span>R9.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n “She\u2019s working on it,” Rocky replied with a smile as he walked away.<\/span><\/p>\n On top of that, <\/span>photos recently surfaced on X<\/a> of Rihanna leaving Lendit Studio in Paris with her crew and choreographers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Rihanna, 35, released her last album, <\/span>Anti<\/span><\/i>, in 2016, and two years later, she told <\/span>Vogue<\/a> that she was working on a reggae project. She then confirmed on Instagram that it would drop in December 2019 and even teased fans\u00a0with the possibility that the album already existed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Update: me listening to\u00a0<\/span>R9<\/span><\/em>\u00a0by myself and refusing to release it,” Rihanna captioned an Instagram video.<\/span><\/p>\n However, <\/span>the album never arrived<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While Rihanna has yet to drop her ninth album, she’s kept busy with other projects, including <\/span>her Fenty Beauty makeup<\/a> brand and <\/span>her Savage X Fenty lingerie line<\/a>. She also performed\u00a0during <\/span>the Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show <\/a>in 2023 and released her Oscar-nominated single, “Lift Me Up,” from the 2022\u00a0<\/span>Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<\/em><\/a>\u00a0soundtrack, which marked her first song in six years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As for her personal life, Rihanna welcomed two sons, RZA and Riot, with Rocky in May 2022 and August 2023, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But it seems 2024 may be the year Rihanna officially returns to music.
