It looks like Suits: L.A.<\/em> will be missing two major stars in the courtroom when it premieres: Patrick J. Adams<\/strong><\/a> and Gabriel Macht<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, I think it\u2019s in a world where some characters could in fact come [back],\u201d Macht, 52, told The Hollywood Reporter <\/em><\/a>during an interview earlier this month alongside Adams, 42.<\/p>\n

However, the duo doesn\u2019t think their characters will be part of the upcoming lawyer series because nobody has actually reached out to either of them about reprising their roles.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have yet to be asked,\u201d Adams said. \u201cIt sounds like it\u2019s a spinoff where they\u2019re really building a new world with new characters and a whole new story.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tJust the beginning! From The Vampire Diaries to The Bachelor, many TV shows have found a continuation for their stories in the form of a spinoff show. For a hit show like Beverly Hills, 90210, the next chapter was a reboot that followed the original characters \u2014 but had a special twist. The original show [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While they may not have been asked to be part of Suits: L.A.<\/em>, Adams and Macht revealed that they have both been in touch with people involved in the project. \u201cI\u2019ve spoken to [series creator Aaron Korsh<\/strong>],\u201d Adams said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t spoken to Aaron, [but] I\u2019ve gotten a couple texts from him,\u201d Macht added. \u201cHe\u2019s early in the process of casting. He is busy, you know, in the early days of making a new show and he is creating a separate world. This world will land in Los Angeles.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Adams said he\u2019d be happy to return if asked. \u201cIf I got the phone call, I\u2019m ready to suit up again,\u201d he told Variety<\/em><\/a> in January. \u201cI love the show, I love the character and I loved working with all these people.\u201d<\/p>\n

The original show Suits<\/em><\/a>, starred Adams as Mike Ross, a college dropout with a photographic memory who talked his way into a job at New York\u2019s best law firm, Pearson Hardman, where he worked alongside one of the city\u2019s top closers, Harvey Specter (Macht).<\/p>\n

The series started in 2011<\/a> on USA Network and went on for nine seasons before it ended in 2019. The legal drama famously starred Meghan Markle<\/strong> as Rachel Zane, Mike\u2019s love interest, before she married Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Suits L.A.<\/em><\/a> hasn\u2019t been given an air date yet as the pilot was only ordered earlier this month, but details are starting to surface. The procedural will follow former New York federal prosecutor Ted Black (Stephen Amell<\/strong>) as he reinvents himself in Los Angeles and builds a law firm that specializes in criminal and entertainment law. The first episode is expected to start filming in Vancouver next month.<\/p>\n

As far as having any advice for Amell, 42, and the rest of the cast, Macht had one tip for remembering the legal jargon. \u201cIf they can get their hands on a digital device where they can take the dialogue and download it to a little chip and stick it in their head, it might be a lot easier for them to say the words every day,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWith both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes coming to an end, the winter TV schedule is overflowing with highly anticipated premieres and returns \u2014 but some shows are still delayed, and others will have shortened seasons. Fans of Abbott Elementary looking forward to more episodes of the sitcom will be in for a bit of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Adams teased that the lawyer verbiage was never a problem for him, claiming, \u201cI had no problem with that, so I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201c[Remember,] it\u2019s a marathon, not a sprint, and you\u2019re going to have a ball because Aaron\u2019s a great writer, and they\u2019re good people to make a show with.\u201d<\/p>\n
