\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Helen Mirren<\/strong><\/a> isn\u2019t too troubled by Barbie<\/strong><\/a><\/em>\u2018s 2024 Oscars<\/strong><\/a><\/em> snubs.<\/p>\n The 78-year-old actress served as the voice of the narrator in Greta Gerwig<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s film based on the iconic Mattel toy.<\/p>\n Barbie<\/em> received eight Oscar nominations, however, Greta<\/strong> surprisingly was not given a Best Director nod, while Margot Robbie<\/strong><\/a> did not make the final list of Best Lead Actress nominees.<\/p>\n Speaking at the 2024 American Cinematheque Awards<\/em> on Thursday (February 15), Helen<\/strong> explained her reaction to the snubs.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou can\u2019t get upset about things like that, honestly,\u201d she told ET<\/a>. \u201cWhat is fantastic is that Barbie<\/em> was the highest-grossing film that Warner Brothers has ever had in their lives and do you remember who won best film of the year before last?\u201d<\/p>\n Barbie<\/em> generated over $1.4 billion worldwide, making it the 14th highest-grossing movie of all time.<\/p>\n Still, Helen<\/strong> expressed her disappointment at Greta<\/strong>\u2018s omission from the Best Director category.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, of course I would have loved to have seen Greta [be nominated], and I think she should win best [director]. It\u2019s so difficult, it\u2019s not a running race, you know, you can\u2019t \u2014 Christopher Nolan\u2019s work on Oppenheimer<\/em> was spectacular, extraordinary.
