Amy Schumer has fired back at her critics.<\/p>\n
With a mixture of honesty and humor.<\/p>\n
Over the past several days, the actress\/comedian has been making the media rounds \u2014 appearing on The Tonight Show, The View and Good Morning America, for example \u2014 in order to promote season 2 of the show Life & Beth.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for everyone\u2019s input about my face!<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed feedback and deliberation about my appearance as all women do for almost 20 years. And you\u2019re right it is puffier than normal right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now but I\u2019m okay,\u201d the 42-year-old explained. <\/p>\n
\u201cI also believe a woman doesn\u2019t need any excuse for her physical appearance and owes no explanation. <\/p>\n
\u201cBut I wanted to take the opportunity to advocate for self love and acceptance of the skin you\u2019re in.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a serious condition.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, it\u2019s the morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out. The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed,\u201d said Schumer at the time.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe removed my appendix because the endometriosis had attacked it. To wrap up her latest post, meanwhile, Schumer once again struck an inspiring tone:<\/p>\n
\u201cLike every other women\/person some days I feel confident and good as hell and others I want to put a bag over my head.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I feel strong and beautiful and so proud of this tv show I created. Wrote. Starred in and directed. Maybe just maybe we can focus on that for a little.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
