This is not a drill, Shakira<\/strong><\/a> is dropping her first new album in seven years.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaking this body of work has been an alchemical process,\u201d the singer, 47, said in a press release on Thursday, February 15. \u201cWhile writing each song I was rebuilding myself. While singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album, which will be Shakira\u2019s 12th, is titled Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran<\/em>, which translates to Women Don\u2019t Cry Anymore<\/em>. The title is seemingly inspired by Shakira\u2019s collaboration with Bizarrap<\/strong> on \u201cBzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53\u201d in 2023. On the track, she proudly declares, \u201cLas mujeres ya no llora, las mujeres facturan,\u201d which translates to \u201cWomen don\u2019t cry anymore, they make money.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Shakira has released singles in recent years, her last full-length album was El Dorado<\/em>, which came out in 2017.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tShakira shares two sons with her former partner, Gerard Piqu\u00e9, and has been documenting their family life since becoming a mom in 2013. Shakira and the retired soccer player welcomed their eldest son, Milan, January 2013 followed by Sasha in January 2015. \u201cSometimes it\u00b4s very hard when you can not see your sons for a [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Since Shakira last made an album, her life has changed significantly. In June 2022, she and ex Gerard Piqu\u00e9<\/strong> split after 11 years of dating. The former soccer player, 37, allegedly cheated on the Grammy winner with his current girlfriend Clara Ch\u00eda<\/strong>. Shakira\u2019s song with Bizarrap, 25, was seemingly a diss track<\/a> towards the couple.<\/p>\n

Following her breakup, Shakira moved from Barcelona<\/a> to Miami with her and Piqu\u00e9\u2019s sons, Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8, for a fresh start. She also found love with NBA player Jimmy Butler<\/strong>, whom she began dating<\/a> in July 2023. While Shakira has been a doting mother to her little ones, she confessed that she prioritized her family over her career.<\/p>\n

When you don\u2019t have a husband who can stay home with the kids, it\u2019s constant juggling because I like to be a present mom and I need to be there every moment with my children: take them to school, have breakfast with them, take them to play dates. And aside from that, I have to make money.\u201d<\/p>\n
