Maddi Reese<\/strong><\/a> and Trevor Stokes<\/strong> broke up after filming season 2 of Southern Hospitality<\/em><\/a> \u2014 but the rumor about his affair wasn\u2019t the reason.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believe it didn\u2019t happen,\u201d Maddi, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> on Thursday, February 15, after their split played out on the Bravo finale. \u201cEven months later, we\u2019ve been broken up and I\u2019ve dated other people. I\u2019ve seen other people, and he still is like, \u2018This hasn\u2019t happened.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained: \u201cSo for me, it\u2019s just like I don\u2019t really trust him that much<\/a>, but for some reason I really do trust him on this just because we\u2019ve broken up and time has gone by and it\u2019s like, \u2018Why? What\u2019s the point now?\u2019\u201d Maddi confessed. \u201cI might never know, and I got to be OK with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maddi and Trevor had an on-off relationship going into season 2 of Southern Hospitality<\/em><\/a>. When the season began, Maddi had forgiven Trevor for cheating on her in the past and they were back together.<\/p>\n

However, Bradley Carter<\/strong> claimed during the season 2 premiere, which aired in December 2023, that Trevor kissed a girl named Sammie<\/strong> when he was living with Maddi. Maddi didn\u2019t believe Bradley\u2019s claim \u2014 and during Thursday\u2019s season 2 finale, she confronted Sammie for allegedly lying about hooking up with Trevor to stir the pot<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve heard all I\u2019ve need to hear from you. You\u2019re a f\u2013king liar,\u201d Maddi told Sammie during a going away party for Will Kulp<\/strong>. \u201cHave a great day. Bye, bitch!\u201d<\/p>\n

Maddi locked Sammie out of the house but later revealed she\u2019d heard Sammie\u2019s confession<\/a> while listening to her and Trevor\u2019s phone call. The revelation shocked Maddi\u2019s friends, who thought she only heard a snippet of Trevor and Sammie\u2019s call.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt like it wasn\u2019t my rumor. It wasn\u2019t my fight,\u201d Maddi told Us<\/em> on Thursday as to why she didn\u2019t tell everyone about the recording. \u201cI feel like for me, after hearing what she had to say, that was a chapter closed for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maddi further explained that her relationship with Trevor \u201cended more so because of the stress and the mental stuff I was going through,\u201d but her ex-boyfriend didn\u2019t help himself with all the Sammie drama.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand that his fingerprints are all over that. But ultimately, I wanted to know [the truth],\u201d she revealed to Us<\/em>, confirming she was on the call when Trevor confronted Sammie about the rumors. \u201cI feel like I was playing detective in a way, but I felt like it wasn\u2019t my fight. I felt like it was Trevor\u2019s and his decision to go to the group with that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maddi insisted that it was her own personal struggles with Trevor that led to their split in July 2023. \u201cWe have different lifestyles. I work in nightlife. He\u2019s more a nine to fiver,\u201d she said. \u201cI feel like it was very mutual.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DJ added that she is still \u201cmoving slowly\u201d out of her and Trevor\u2019s shared home. \u201cI am open to dating and putting myself out there. I feel like I still have some things to heal though,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Maddi claimed that the \u201cchapter is closed\u201d between her and Trevor, but it\u2019s not always easy to stay away from him. \u201cYou need to have the self-control to be like, \u2018Nope, chapter\u2019s closed,\u2019\u201d she teased. \u201cSo for me right now, it\u2019s completely closed, but you never know where your future [will go].\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely feel like I\u2019m in a healing place, but I\u2019m super open-minded to what else is out there for me,\u201d Maddi told Us<\/em> of her current headspace. \u201cI\u2019m really just trying to get a lot of the relationships that have been broken<\/a>.
