King has previously opened up about how drinking helps her with her stage fright. \u201cI really like to drink and sing. I don\u2019t want to get as drunk as I used to,\u201d she told the San Diego Union-Tribune<\/em> in February 2022. \u201cIt\u2019s easier for me to say: \u2018Yeah, I want to drink and party and [then] go on stage.\u2019 I get nervous before I go on stage, [so] I have a couple of drinks [first].
