Actor Brian Baumgartner<\/strong> is down to reprise his role as Kevin Malone on The Office<\/em><\/a> in a potential revival \u2014 on one condition.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf [showrunner] Greg Daniels<\/strong> was involved, then yeah, of course,\u201d Baumgartner, 51, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> at Rob Gronkowski<\/em>\u2019s pre\u2013Super Bowl<\/a> Gronk Beach party in Las Vegas on Saturday, February 10.<\/p>\n

While rumors of a revival of the hit sitcom have been swirling for years, Baumgartner noted that nothing concrete is in the works right now. \u201cMaybe someday,\u201d he shared. \u201cI think at some point we\u2019ll be back together, but there\u2019s no immediate plans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Office<\/em> followed the hilarious workplace hijinks of the staff of Dunder Mifflin, a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The sitcom, based on the U.K. series of the same name, ended its nine-season run on NBC in May 2013.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tIt\u2019s been more than 15 years since viewers first followed the employees at the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company on The Office. The sitcom, which premiered on NBC March 24, 2005, starred Steve Carell (Michael Scott), Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute), John Krasinski (Jim Halpert), Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesley), Angela Kinsey (Angela Martin), Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor), [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Nearly 10 years later, Baumgartner said he still doesn\u2019t get tired of being recognized as his iconic character, Kevin. \u201cI appreciate and am a fan of the show myself, so when I meet people who are fans of the show, I appreciate it,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cIt\u2019s always nice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Multiple outlets reported in December 2017 that an Office<\/em> reboot was in the works<\/a> without original star Steve Carell<\/strong>, who played Dunder Mifflin regional manager Michael Scott for seven seasons. While the series never came to fruition, hopes of a revival were reignited last fall after Puck News<\/em> reported a reboot<\/a> was expected to be announced following the conclusion of the Writers Guild of America strike, which ended<\/a> in September 2023.<\/p>\n

At the time, Daniels, 60, clarified that the news was simply speculatory. \u201cThe fact that it kind of blew up based on one line in a Puck piece was kind of cool, I guess, in the sense that the fans still care a lot,\u201d he told Collider<\/em><\/a> in October 2023.<\/p>\n

The executive producer didn\u2019t completely shut down the idea of bringing back The Office<\/em>. \u201cWhen there\u2019s something to announce, I will definitely announce it,\u201d he teased.<\/p>\n

Baumgartner is one of many Office<\/em> stars who have expressed their hopes for a revival over the years. \u201cI mean, I would do it<\/a>,\u201d Angela Kinsey<\/strong>, who played Angela Martin, said on her and Jenna Fischer<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cThe Office Ladies\u201d podcast<\/a> last month. \u201cI would do it for my kids because I think they would think that\u2019s fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tFrom cubicle mates to lifelong friends, the cast of The Office has continued to reconnect since the comedy came to an end in 2013. Fans were introduced to Michael Scott (Steve Carell) and his band of Dunder Mifflin paper company workers in 2005 \u2014 the show ran for nine seasons \u2014 and 15 years later, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Fischer, who portrayed Pam Beesly, echoed Baumgartner\u2019s comments, stating, \u201cAs long as Greg is writing it and he\u2019s in charge of it, then I say yes.\u201d<\/p>\n
