Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> has always had fans in Dr. Mehmet Oz<\/strong> <\/a>and his wife, Lisa Oz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor grew up in Pennsylvania near Philly, and the interesting thing is when she was a younger woman, a girl, actually, her parents would call up Lisa\u2019s parents and say, \u2018Come on over! Watch our daughter perform,\u2019\u201d Mehmet, 63, exclusively recalled to Us Weekly <\/i>at Shaq\u2019s Fun House<\/a> in Las Vegas on Friday, February 9. \u201cAny rational person would try to get out of that deal, but in her case, she was a superstar and it worked.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lisa, 60, chimed in that Swift, now 34, was around 12 years old at the time, singing for \u201call the kids in the neighborhood down in Stone Harbor.\u201d (Mehmet and Lisa, like Swift and her family, are from Pennsylvania.)<\/p>\n

Swift got her big break in 2005 when she signed a 13-year record deal<\/a> with Big Machine Records. While she\u2019s since parted ways with Big Machine, Swift has released 10 studio albums and won 14 Grammys. Her 11th record, The Tortured Poets Department<\/i>, drops in April<\/a>. She has also been steadily rereleasing her first six albums after Big Machine allegedly wouldn\u2019t sell<\/a> her the masters in 2019.<\/p>\n

After Swift made a splash in the music scene, she ran into the TV doctor \u201cyears later\u201d at a Time 100 party.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe confirmed the story [at the party], so I know it\u2019s true,\u201d Mehmet quipped to Us. <\/i>\u201cImagine being dragged over to your friend\u2019s house [or] can you imagine not going and [saying], \u2018I don\u2019t want to want to watch your daughter perform! Come on!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Mehmet and Lisa have continued to support Swift\u2019s career through the years, even taking their \u201cwhole family\u201d to her 2023 Eras Tour <\/i>concert i<\/a>n Philadelphia.<\/p>\n

\u201c[We] packed the place, but we packed it with our family,\u201d Mehmet joked. \u201cWe all came. We had to pay to come this time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mehmet further noted that he is able to bond with his grandchildren over Swift\u2019s music.<\/p>\n

Stars like Bradley Cooper, Kevin Hart, Miles Teller, Joe Biden and more were in attendance to see the Eagles defeat the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LII, the team\u2019s first time winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Mehmet and Lisa stepped out at Shaquille O\u2019Neal<\/strong>\u2019s pre-Super Bowl party before the big game on Sunday, February 11. Since Swift is likely to attend<\/a> the NFL championship game in support of boyfriend Travis Kelce<\/strong>, Mehmet and Lisa revealed their thoughts on the couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m supportive of it,\u201d Mehmet gushed despite being a proud Philadelphia Eagles fan.<\/p>\n

Kelce, 34, is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are playing in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers. The football star started dating Swift<\/a> in summer 2023, several months before she went to her NFL game.<\/p>\n

If Kelce and Swift go the distance, they could learn a thing or two from Mehmet and Lisa, who have been married for nearly 40 years.<\/p>\n
