Morgan Evans<\/strong> <\/a>released a \u201cvulnerable,\u201d five-part docuseries in the wake of his split from Kelsea Ballerini<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The \u201cYoung Again\u201d singer, 37, dropped the doc via his YouTube channel on Tuesday, February 28. The Australia native, who has been candid about his messy breakup from Ballerini<\/a>, 29, details his emotional state in the footage<\/a> while touring his home country and New Zealand for several weeks in late 2022. As Evans performs, records and releases \u201cOver for You,\u201d a song he wrote in the aftermath of his split<\/a> from the \u201cLove You Like You Mean It\u201d singer, he also reflects on his life, values and \u201cpersonal grief\u201d while visiting family and interacting with friends and fans.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen we started filming this as a tour docuseries last year, we had no idea it would end up documenting some of the most vulnerable parts of my life as an artist and a songwriter,\u201d the trailer teased<\/a>, which dropped on Tuesday just before the docuseries debuted. The teaser noted that the footage \u2014 some of which was filmed in September 2022, one month after Ballerini filed for divorce \u2014 \u201c[captured] Morgan\u2019s journey dealing with personal grief in the midst of his biggest tour to date.\u201d<\/p>\n Ballerini and Evans were married for nearly five years when the three-time Grammy nominee filed for divorce from the \u201cYoung Again\u201d artist, per documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cWith very active schedules coming up, please be mindful that we are both fragile, actively healing, and showing up the best we can,\u201d Ballerini shared via her Instagram Stories in the wake of their split.<\/p>\n Evans, for his part, made it clear that the \u201cHeartfirst\u201d singer was the one who initiated their breakup. \u201cI am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I are parting ways. I wish it were otherwise but sadly it is not,\u201d he shared via social media at the time.<\/p>\n Weeks later, Evans wrote and performed \u201cOver for You,\u201d on which he sings, in part, \u201cHow long have you been waiting \/ To take our pictures down? \/ How long have you been breaking? \/ Why am I just finding out? \/ It kills me to know \/ You were drifting alone.\u201d<\/p>\n Ballerini, for her part, appeared to reply to her ex\u2019s notion that he was stunned by the breakup when she released her Rolling Up the Welcome Mat<\/em> EP<\/a> on Valentine\u2019s Day 2023. On her new track \u201cBlindsided,\u201d she seemingly sings in response: \u201cAnd now you\u2019re saying that you\u2019re lost \/ And that\u2019s lost on me \/ Years of sitting across from me in therapy \/ I know the truth is hard to hear, but it wasn\u2019t hard to find \/ Baby, were you blindsided or were you just blind?\u201d<\/p>\n After the release of Ballerini\u2019s latest tracks \u2014 and her tell-all appearance on the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d podcast<\/a>, during which she detailed their separation \u2014 Evans slammed his ex<\/a> via Instagram.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren\u2019t reality and that leave out what really happened,\u201d the \u201cThings That We Drink to\u201d singer wrote. \u201cShe knows I\u2019m not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly.
