Mo\u2019Nique delivered a viral interview on the \u201cClub Shay Shay\u201d podcast.
She declared that her career might\u2019ve been as successful as that of fellow comic\u00a0Melissa McCarthy\u00a0had she been given equal opportunities as her white contemporaries. Mo\u2019Nique suggested that her awards success and hit television show did not lead to a similar career like McCarthy\u2019s.<\/p>\n\u201cIf I was a white woman, do you know what my name would be? Melissa McCarthy. If I was a white woman, my name would be Melissa McCarthy. Same track record! Five-year sitcom in syndication. The opportunities are not the same.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Mo\u2019Nique called out Kevin Hart for allegedly falling back on his word to produce new content with her. Mo\u2019Nique said Hart reached out to her and told her, \u201cLet\u2019s move past it, Mo. Let\u2019s do great things together. Don\u2019t even worry about it. Whatever you want to do I will partner with you. I will executive produce with you \u2026 I\u2019ll do whatever you want me to do<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\nMo\u2019Nique said she never asked Hart to do anything, but then she was told that Hart\u2019s manager said Hart \u201cdoesn\u2019t want anything to do with Mo\u2019Nique.\u201d<\/i> She got in touch with Hart, who said it was all a \u201cmiscommunication.\u201d
