Tish Cyrus<\/strong><\/a>, the ex-wife of Billy Ray Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> and mother of Miley Cyrus<\/strong>, opened up about grieving her relationship with Billy Ray, 62, and the death of her mother during the same year.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was so crazy because, honestly, my two biggest fears in life were always being alone and my mom passing away,\u201d Tish, 56, told \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d host, Alexandra Cooper<\/strong>, about her 2022 divorce<\/a> during the podcast\u2019s Tuesday, February 6, episode.<\/p>\n The film producer continued, \u201cI was like, \u2018I just don\u2019t know if I\u2019ll survive when my mom dies.\u2019 Like, honestly. And I had, like, one month of a, honestly, complete psychological breakdown. It was the worst thing \u2014 like, honestly. It was not good.\u201d<\/p>\n Tish admitted that her grief became so severe at one point, she even considered seeking treatment at a mental health treatment facility, but that her psychiatrist advised her against it. However, her emotional distress continued, with Tish saying that she lost weight due to being unable to eat or sleep.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t have my mom, and then I don\u2019t have my husband that\u2019s been my husband for 30 years. Like, holy crap, I\u2019m scared,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n Despite the rough period, Tish told Alexandra, 29, that their split \u201cworked out for the best.\u201d Not long after her divorce, Tish met actor Dominic Purcell<\/strong>, and the two wed in August 2023. Only two months later, Billy Ray also remarried, tying the knot with Australian musician Johanna Rosie Hodges<\/strong>, who goes by the stage name \u201cFirerose,\u201d that October.<\/p>\n Tish and her daughter Brandi Cyrus<\/strong><\/a>, who was also present during the \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d interview, were quick to deny that Miley, 31, and Billy Ray\u2019s starring roles on the Disney Channel original series Hannah Montanta<\/em> \u201cdestroyed\u201d their family, as Billy Ray had claimed during a 2011 interview with GQ<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cAbsolutely not,\u201d Tish insisted.
