\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Dakota Johnson<\/strong><\/a> is weighing in on the nepo baby debate.<\/p>\n The 34-year-old actress \u2013 who is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith<\/strong><\/a> and Don Johnson<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 recently explained why she\u2019s tired of the whole conversation surrounding children of celebrities getting into the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cLike, if you\u2019re a journalist, write about something else,\u201d Dakota<\/strong> said on the Today show on Wednesday (Feb. 7), calling the nepo baby debate \u201cincredibly annoying and boring.\u201d<\/p>\n While hosting Saturday Night Live<\/em> poked fun at her own nepo baby status in a sketch with the show\u2019s \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Destroy\u201d group, which includes comedians John Higgins<\/strong><\/a> and Martin Herlihy<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 the sons of SNL<\/em> producer Steve Higgins<\/strong> and former head writer Tim Herlihy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In the sketch, Dakota<\/strong>, John<\/strong>, and Martin<\/strong> made struck a \u201cnepo truce\u201d with matching rings while they were in the middle of roasting each other.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s just like, lame. So the opportunity to make fun of it, I jumped at,\u201d Dakota<\/strong> said on the sketch on Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n Dakota<\/strong> also talked about how her dad Don<\/strong>, 74, cut her off financially when she decided to pursue acting instead of going to college after she graduated high school.<\/p>\n \u201cHe said, \u2018If you go to college, you\u2019ll still get an allowance,\u2019\u201d Dakota<\/strong> recalled. \u201cAnd I was like, \u2018Well, I\u2019m going to be an actress.\u2019 So he was like, \u2018Alright, well you\u2019re on your own.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n As for how she got by before making a name for herself in Hollywood, Dakota<\/strong> said, \u201cI did some little modeling jobs that helped me pay my rent. And then I started auditioning and got some jobs\u2026I definitely had moments where I couldn\u2019t afford groceries and had to ask my mom to help me.
