Kanye West<\/a> has compared himself to Elvis as he opened up about how hasn\u2019t been \u201callowed\u201d to perform in the last year.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old rapper, whose music and fashion careers have been in freefall since he launched into a series of anti-Semitic rants, told fans he is finding it impossible to book gigs.<\/p>\n

After telling his 19 million followers in an Instagram video \u2013 which has now been deleted \u2013 about how he is having trouble booking arenas, he said: \u201cAnd you know why that is.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow-up post, Kanye added: \u201cI have not been allowed to perform in a year. Feels like the Elvis Presley<\/a> movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

It appears he may have been referring to Elvis\u2019 feeling of being trapped in one spot and being stopped from touring the world after he was booked into his endless Las Vegas residencies.<\/p>\n

\nKanye also said the only arena he\u2019s been able to book for his tour is the United Center in his hometown of Chicago, adding: \u201cWe just sold out the United Center in seven minutes, and I just want to express to everybody out there to see if it\u2019s anyone that can help with this.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cIt\u2019s the only arena that I had access to in the past year.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cAnd when I call, people say there are no avails for me and you know why that is.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cSo if there\u2019s anybody out there that can help with this, please do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nSix hours later, Kanye was back on Instagram to say he had finally been given the go-ahead to book venues after all and shared a screengrab of a text from his booking manager, which said: \u201cCrazy amount of non stop calls from all over the world. Will send new offers and avails tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nKanye \u2013 whose controversial rants have included comments about Adolf Hitler \u2013 also shared more texts appearing to show how representatives from other venues had got in touch about booking gigs.<\/p>\n

\nThe venues he is apparently interested in securing appeared to include the Petco Park in San Diego, California, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, as well as several New York City spots and the Galaxy Arena in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
