Days of Our Lives <\/i>star Arianne Zucker<\/strong><\/a> has accused the soap opera\u2019s production company of sexual harassment.<\/p>\n

Zucker, 49, named Corday Production Inc. and executive producer Ken Corday i<\/strong>n a Wednesday, February 7, lawsuit, claiming that she and multiple other women were sexually harassed on the set of Days. <\/i>According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly<\/i>, Zucker is suing the production company for discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.<\/p>\n

Zucker claimed that she was subject to \u201csexually harassing comments\u201d and \u201cnonconsensual physical touching or a sexual nature,\u201d during her tenure on Days of Our Lives<\/i>. (She has starred as Nicole Walker since 1988.) Zucker also accused TV director Albert Alarr<\/strong> of making such comments and claimed that Corday was aware of the alleged misconduct.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom the onset of Alarr\u2019s employment, he repeatedly subjected [Arianne] and other employees to severe and pervasive harassment and discrimination, including sexual harassment, based upon their female gender,\u201d court documents read. \u201cNamely, on a continuous basis,\u00a0 and in furtherance of his intent to harass and discriminate against Plaintiff based upon her gender, Alarr subjected Plaintiff to sexually harassing comments and nonconsensual physical touching of a sexual nature.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tWhile Hollywood may appear to be all glitz and glam on the surface, the industry has seen its fair share of\u00a0scandals\u00a0through the years. The\u00a0New York Times\u00a0and the\u00a0New Yorker first published investigative pieces in 2017 that accused disgruntled movie producer Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment. Soon after, Weinstein stood trial and was [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Zucker also reportedly witnessed Alarr, 67, harassing other women and making sexually charged comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlarr, Corday and Ken Corday treated female employees disproportionately than male employees,\u201d Zucker claimed. \u201cFemale hair and makeup employees and female actresses were often berated and given tasks that were purposefully impossible to perform within the given time frame. Alarr often yelled at female employees, in the presence of Plaintiff, bringing them to tears. Alarr did not yell or berate the male employees. A female actress complained to Alarr that she was morally uncomfortable about a certain scene,\u00a0 and was subsequently fired\u00a0 by Corday and Ken Corday.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for\u00a0Days <\/em>denied Zucker\u2019s claims.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe allegations in Ms. Zucker\u2019s lawsuit are without merit. Corday Productions offered to renew Ms. Zucker\u2019s contract including offering her a pay increase. Rejecting Ms. Zucker\u2019s counteroffer does not constitute retaliation,\u201d the rep told\u00a0Us<\/em>. \u201cComplaints about Mr. Alarr\u2019s on-set behavior were promptly investigated. Corday Productions fully cooperated with the impartial investigation and subsequently terminated Mr. Alarr.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zucker, meanwhile, claimed that she \u201cfeared coming forward\u201d out of the prospect of retaliation or being blackballed from the industry. She noted that five women were \u201cinexplicably fired\u201d or quit Days <\/i>due to the culture of harassment and discrimination.<\/p>\n

In March 2023, Zucker shared her complaints about the offensive comments and alleged unequal pay with Corday, who seemingly \u201cflippantly passed the buck\u201d to his coworkers to handle. She further claimed that the network did not attempt to protect the soap stars from further harassment at the time.<\/p>\n

Zucker\u2019s contract with the production company expired in January and Corday allegedly refused to negotiate her salary when she was presented a new deal. She was then allegedly \u201cterminated<\/a> from her employment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result of the illegal conduct of Defendants, Plaintiff has experienced and continues to experience extreme,\u201d the docs add. \u201c[Arianne] was thus forced to work under intolerable and illegal conditions and in a hostile work environment, despite her complaints and protests.\u201d<\/p>\n
