It\u2019s not easy being green \u2014 or Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

While at a press conference ahead of Super Bowl LVIII<\/a>, Mahomes, 28, was asked on Monday, February 5, to give his best Kermit the Frog impression a go, and the football player shut down the request immediately.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m talking right now and that\u2019s it,\u201d Mahomes quipped in a video shared via the NFL\u2019s official TikTok<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Mahomes has gotten the Kermit comparison. The quarterback is aware that he and the muppet share a similar raspy voice, and he\u2019s not fazed by it all. While getting ready for Super Bowl LVII in February 2023, Mahomes confessed that people have commented on his voice from a young age.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople make fun of my voice for my entire life. I\u2019ve got news about it, it\u2019s like the joke that keeps giving,\u201d he said at the time. \u201cI\u2019ve heard it all. I\u2019ve heard of Kermit the Frog, I\u2019ve heard the smoking cigarettes, whatever it is, but it\u2019s unique, so maybe I\u2019ll get a deal from that for having that unique voice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tPatrick Mahomes always has his family in his corner. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback is the son of Pat Mahomes and Randi Mahomes. Before divorcing in 2006, the exes welcomed son Jackson in May 2005. Following their split, both Randi and Pat moved on and welcomed children with other partners. Randi is the mom of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While the public has noticed recently that Mahomes has a unique voice, his Kansas City Chiefs teammates picked up on it early.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something that I have kind of embraced,\u201d the athlete said during an October 2018 interview with 41 Action News<\/a> in Kansas City. \u201cThe guys, [Travis<\/strong>] Kelce<\/strong>, Tyreek<\/strong> [Hill<\/strong>], those guys throw some shots at me, but don\u2019t worry \u2014 I throw shots back.\u201d<\/p>\n

In that same interview, coach Andy Reid<\/strong> shared that Mahomes has a \u201cunique voice.\u201d When asked how he would best describe it, Reid quipped, \u201cFroggish\u201d while holding back a smile and laugh.<\/p>\n

Years later, as Mahomes and Kelce\u2019s friendship grew stronger, the tight end\u2019s teasing took a break. During a joint interview with Bleacher Report<\/em><\/a> in June 2023, Kelce gushed about Mahomes\u2019 voice and even impersonated his pal.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne thing that\u2019s really unique about him is that voice, man. He\u2019s got a voice for radio. You just got to shut your eyes,\u201d Kelce shared before he began grumbling, \u201cAnd welcome back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mahomes cut in during Kelce\u2019s bit and turned on the radio announcer charm.<\/p>\n
