Melissa Etheridge is \u2018worried\u2019 Travis Kelce could retire from the NFL to spend all his time with Taylor Swift<\/p>\n
The singer, 62, said she is a huge fan of the 34-year-old \u2018Bad Blood\u2019 singer\u2019s NFL star boyfriend, also 34, and also admitted the couple may be far too \u201cprofessional\u201d to let their romance get in the way of their careers.<\/p>\n
She told Max\u2019s \u2018Who\u2019s Talking to Chris Wallace?\u2019 show: \u201cI love that (Taylor) loves one of my favourite football players\u2026 I think he\u2019s an amazing human being and I think they\u2019re a great couple.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just worried he\u2019s gonna retire early to be with her.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the thing I\u2019m worried about.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMelissa highlighted how \u201call those guys\u201d in the NFL are \u201cway too professional\u201d and said Taylor was the same.<\/p>\n
\nTaylor made history at Sunday\u2019s (04.02.24) Grammys by winning her fourth best album award at the ceremony, while Travis is preparing for this year\u2019s Super Bowl, which will see his Kansas City Chiefs team face the San Francisco49ers on 11 February.<\/p>\n
\nTravis has already confirmed he isn\u2019t going to retire anytime soon \u2013 despite admitting he thinks about it \u201cmore than anyone could ever imagine\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nHe told reporters on January: \u201cI just have no reason to stop playing football. I love it.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe still have success. Come in with the right mindset, and I just love the challenge it gives me every single day to try to be at my best.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe also assured fans he is focused on winning his third Super Bowl ring, adding: \u201cYou hear the media throughout the year, if we\u2019re not having success, maybe throw it out there that I wasn\u2019t focused or the team isn\u2019t focused on certain things.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIf you\u2019re in this building, you know exactly what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTravis and Taylor have been dating since last summer and went public with their romance in September 2023, and a source has told Page Six the couple have made a plan to get engaged on their first anniversary in July.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
