Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> might get a little awkward for Ayo Edebiri<\/strong><\/a> after her past insults about Jennifer Lopez<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s career resurfaced.<\/p>\n

Years before starring on The Bear<\/em><\/a>, Edebiri, 28, appeared on a 2020 episode of the podcast \u201cScam Goddess<\/a>\u201d to discuss Linda Taylor<\/strong>\u2019s welfare scam. During her chat with host Laci Mosley<\/strong>, Edebiri brought up Lopez, 54, and said she believed Lopez\u2019s entire career was \u201cone long scam.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s the thing. She thinks she\u2019s on multiple tracks, but it\u2019s not her,\u201d Edebiri explained at the time. \u201cI think she thinks that she\u2019s still good even though she\u2019s not singing for most of these songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Edebiri confessed she became \u201cfascinated\u201d by Lopez songs that allegedly feature other artists\u2019 vocals instead of the pop star\u2019s. The Emmy winner said she then started \u201creading up\u201d on other cases.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tCelebrity feuds are so captivating that there\u2019s even an award-winning Ryan Murphy anthology TV series devoted to the topic. While some A-list beefs seem inevitable \u2014 Nicki Minaj vs. Cardi B, for example, or Jef Holm vs. Arie Luyendyk Jr. \u2014 others seem to come out of nowhere. Freddie Prinze Jr., for instance, spoke ill [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA lot of the write-ups of the songs will be like, \u2018J. Lo didn\u2019t have time to make it to the studio,\u2019 like J. Lo was busy,\u201d Edebiri said. \u201cIt\u2019s like, \u2018Doing what?\u2019 Not singing, obviously!\u201d<\/p>\n

Fast-forward four years later, and Edebiri was selected to host the Saturday, February 3, episode of SNL<\/em> alongside Lopez herself, who will be the musical guest.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the episode, the duo came together alongside cast member Heidi Gardner<\/strong> to promote the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited, I love your show,\u201d Lopez said to Edebiri during one promo teaser<\/a> on Friday, February 2. Edebiri replied, \u201cI love your everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAyo Edebiri\u2019s fashion sense is anything but ordinary. The Bear star has experimented with everything from custom leather dresses to checkered gowns while posing on the red carpet. Edebiri has also rocked a number of power suits, including the all-white ensemble at the 29th Annual Critics Choice Awards in January 2024. She proved she means [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Neither Lopez nor Edebiri have addressed the 2020 comments.<\/p>\n

Since Edebiri\u2019s podcast appearance, she\u2019s come a long way in her career. Last month, she won her first Emmy<\/a> for her role on The Bear<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so incredibly grateful for this for so many reasons. But the main one, this is a show about family and found family and real family,\u201d Edebiri said during her acceptance speech. \u201cMy parents are here tonight. I\u2019m making them sit kind of far away from me because I\u2019m a bad kid. But I love you guys so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
