We are learning new details about the upcoming Vanderpump Rules<\/strong><\/a><\/em> spinoff series The Valley<\/strong><\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n In case you missed it, three former stars of the hit Bravo series will be starring in a new spinoff series, along with several new faces<\/a> to the Bravo-verse.<\/p>\n Vanderpump Rules<\/em> star Lala Kent<\/strong><\/a> dropped a new episode of her podcast Give Them Lala<\/em> on Friday (February 2) with executive producer Alex Baskin<\/strong>, who is behind both shows, and he revealed new details about the upcoming new show!<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Lala <\/strong>and her co-host Jessica Walter<\/strong> asked Alex<\/strong> for a teaser about The Valley<\/em> and the difference between filming both shows.<\/p>\n \u201cHere\u2019s my tease. We start The Valley with a crossover between Jax [Taylor]<\/strong><\/a> and Tom Sandoval<\/strong><\/a>, and so you have Jax<\/strong> joining boys night, which is with [Tom] Schwartz<\/strong><\/a> and James [Kennedy]<\/strong><\/a> and Sandoval<\/strong>,\u201d Alex<\/strong> shared. \u201cAnd, uh, Jax<\/strong> has a few choice words for Sandoval<\/strong>, and it\u2019s really fun. And then we see Jax<\/strong> drive over the hill and go into the Valley. It\u2019s cinematic, in our world.\u201d <\/p>\n \u201cWhere I think The Valley<\/em> is very different is it\u2019s a different phase in life, and the idea is adulting, and it\u2019s also that this is a group that is trying to raise families or figure out what\u2019s next, but they don\u2019t have anything figured out,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo that\u2019s the fun of it to me, is that Jax<\/strong> is still Jax<\/strong>\u2026 Jax<\/strong> is preaches and proclaims that he has grown up and everyone needs to find the maturity that he has, and we see by the end of the first episode that that\u2019s dubious.\u201d<\/p>\n Alex<\/strong> also shared that he pitched The Valley<\/em> as somewhere in between Vanderpump Rules<\/em> and The Real Housewives<\/em>.<\/p>\n When asked if they show a lot of the kids and the cast members being parents, Alex<\/strong> said, \u201cWe show a good amount. We show enough so that you can see that they are all caring parents and they\u2019re kind of trying to figure it out, but at the same time, there\u2019s only so much that you can watch of children.\u201d<\/p>\n A little later on, Alex<\/strong> reveals that putting together The Valley<\/em> started out with conversations with Jax<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe and I went out to dinner and we were just talking about what\u2019s going on in his life now and who his friends are, and I quickly settled on the idea of doing something about families or couples,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then we kind of built it out from there and so we put on tape pretty much everyone that\u2019s in his close inner circle, and kind of went from there.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEveryone really knows each other, they all care and we didn\u2019t want to, you know, add any gimmicks or try to fill out the cast in a way that wasn\u2019t authentic,\u201d Alex continued. <\/p>\n
