Quentin Tarantino<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Brad Pitt<\/a>\u00a0are reportedly gearing up to work together one last time.<\/span><\/p>\n According to\u00a0<\/span>Deadline<\/em><\/a>, the actor is in talks to star in the director’s final film,\u00a0<\/span>The Movie Critic<\/span><\/em>. It’ll be the duo’s third time working together after Pitt starred in Tarantino’s <\/span>Inglourious Basterds\u00a0<\/span><\/em>in 2009 and <\/span>Once Upon a Time in Hollywood<\/span><\/em> in 2019, the latter of which <\/span>earned Pitt his first and only Academy Award<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n Although Pitt’s role in\u00a0<\/span>The Movie Critic<\/span><\/em>\u00a0is still in the air, it is clear that filming for the project will have to begin\u00a0either late this year or in early 2025 since the 60-year-old is currently working on a\u00a0Joseph Kosinski-directed Formula One racing feature for Apple for the rest of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n ET has reached out to\u00a0Pitt and Tarantino’s\u00a0representatives for confirmation.<\/span><\/p>\n Pitt also appeared in the 1993 feature\u00a0<\/span>True\u00a0Romance<\/span><\/em>, which\u00a0Tarantino wrote but was directed by Tony Scott.<\/span><\/p>\n The casting is the first time\u00a0<\/span>The Movie Critic\u00a0<\/span><\/em>has had a face attached to it — the film doesn’t even have a studio attached yet. All that is known of the film is that it’s expected to be based on a real-life film critic whom Tarantino admires. In May 2023, Tarantino told\u00a0<\/span>Deadline<\/a><\/em>\u00a0that the film is set in California in 1977 and “is based on a guy who really lived, but was never really famous, and he used to write movie reviews for a porno rag.”<\/span><\/p>\n
