Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/strong><\/a> swiftly shut down criticism of her appearance<\/a> after opening up about a recent operation.<\/p>\n The Kardashians star, 38, took to Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, February 26, to share a gym selfie<\/a>. \u201cHappy Sunday \ud83e\udd0d,\u201d she captioned the pic, in which she paired a full face of makeup with her workout clothes.<\/p>\n While several fans gushed over the California native\u2019s healthy glow, one social media user scrutinized a small detail. \u201cAnd what the heck is on your cheek,\u201d the troll wrote in the comments section.<\/p>\n Kardashian was quick to respond<\/a> to the negative message, writing, \u201cA bandage \ud83e\ude79 I had a tumor removed from my face but I\u2019m totally ok. Thank you for asking \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n The reality star received an outpouring of support<\/a> from her followers, with one teasing, \u201cHeck you must have zoomed right in to see that\u2026 can hardly see it \ud83d\ude11.\u201d Others sent well-wishes<\/a> as Kardashian continues her recovery.<\/p>\n When one Instagram user gently asked whether the spot on her face was makeup, the Hulu personality<\/a> responded: \u201cIt\u2019s a scar strip. I had a tumor removed from my face a few moments ago so I wear this for healing and the prevention of my scar getting worse. All is great and healing wonderfully.\u201d<\/p>\n Months prior, the Good American cofounder addressed \u201cthe ever-evolving bandage on my face\u201d<\/a> after fans noticed she had been sporting one for a few weeks. \u201cAfter noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging,\u201d she wrote via her Instagram Story in October 2022, acknowledging that she\u2019d seen \u201cnumerous stories going around\u201d<\/a> about her accessory.<\/p>\n Kardashian explained that two doctors examined her face<\/a> and found that \u201cwhat they both were seeing was incredibly rare\u201d for someone her age.<\/p>\n \u201cA few days later I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face,\u201d she continued. \u201cI called none other than Dr. Garth Fischer, a dear friend of my [family] and one of the best surgeons in Beverly Hills who I knew would take incredible care of my face.\u201d<\/p>\n The Strong Looks Better Naked<\/em> author noted that the surgeon was \u201cable to get everything\u201d out<\/a>, but she was instructed to keep the area covered. \u201cYou\u2019ll continue to see my bandages and when I\u2019m allowed, you\u2019ll probably see a scar (and an indention in my cheek from the tumor being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how fabulous I\u2019m making these face bandages look,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n As she concluded her message, she reminded her followers to take care of their skin<\/a>. \u201cI am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things,\u201d she added. \u201cPlease take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual checkups.\u201d<\/p>\n One month later, Kardashian stepped out for the CFDA Fashion Awards<\/a> in New York City \u2014 and her bandage was noticeable in the red carpet photos.
