Savannah Chrisley<\/strong><\/a> revealed she saw Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a> and Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s split coming months before the pair called off their engagement and broke up<\/a> in August 2023.<\/p>\n Jason, 35, was a guest on Savannah\u2019s \u201cUnlocked\u201d podcast on Tuesday, January 30, when the Chrisley Knows Best<\/em><\/a> alum, 26, broke the news to him.<\/p>\n \u201cShe came on my podcast in March, and I just knew from how she was talking. I was like, \u2018This is not going anywhere. This is going to end,’\u201d Savannah told Jason about Kaitlyn, 37.<\/p>\n Jason responded, \u201cI\u2019ve heard there were a lot of conversations I wasn\u2019t aware of before the breakup that were similar to that.\u201d He revealed that Kaitlyn broke up with him privately in July 2023 before the pair revealed their split in a joint announcement and that he too \u201ckind of\u201d saw it ahead of time. \u201cI knew it was coming, but I was avoiding it,\u201d he confessed.<\/p>\n The Buffalo, New York, native claimed that problems arose after his May 2021 proposal<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think right when we got engaged, a lot of outside things entered into our life and I think as a result of that, resentment was built and it wasn\u2019t worked through,\u201d Jason recalled.<\/p>\n \u201cIf I look at myself running from [conflict], also knowing that she was truly falling out of love. I went into security protection mode as opposed to trying to salvage, I was like, \u2018Gotta make myself feel safe,\u2019 if that makes sense,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n Savannah praised the former couple about how they handled the public split.<\/p>\n \u201cKaitlyn was on my podcast. It was great. She was awesome. I have so much respect for the two of y\u2019all and how you handled your breakup,\u201d she told Jason. \u201cI feel like it\u2019s been very adult. And I don\u2019t think it\u2019s been, at least in the public eye, I don\u2019t think it\u2019s been messy.\u201d<\/p>\n Jason said her take was \u201cinteresting,\u201d as there have been some bumpy post-split moments between him and Kaitlyn. The former Bachelorette<\/em> contestant additionally revealed in his upcoming book, Talk Money to Me: The 8 Essential Financial Questions to Discuss With Your Partner<\/em>, that issues involving finances<\/a> also plagued him and Kaitlyn.<\/p>\n Prior to June 2019, before we moved in together, my ex and I never had a candid conversation about money. I never told her the important numbers that defined my financial health, and she didn\u2019t tell me hers. Hell, I didn\u2019t even ask,\u201d Jason wrote in a excerpt shared by People<\/em>.<\/p>\n Another bump in the breakup road came after Jason shared a heartbreaking video moving out of her home<\/a> which included their golden retrievers Ramen and Pinot looking on forlornly, Kaitlyn \u200bproceeded to accuse him of \u201cnot protecting\u201d her from haters<\/a> by posting such a sad moment. Jason said at the time that the move \u201cphysically and mentally sucks.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe talked about protecting each other through it because, of course, when you go through breakups you want to have your side and someone to have their side,\u201d Kaitlyn said during the September 19, 2023, episode of her \u201cOff the Vine\u201d podcast. \u201cTo justify it and say all these things. We really agreed on protecting each other.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWhen he was, kind of, leaning into that sad \u2014 I was like, \u2018Bro,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cIt didn\u2019t protect me because it made me look like I was taking the dogs away from him.\u201d The former Bachelorette said it made her \u201creally sad\u201d that Jason posted the video as they had been making their dogs a \u201cpriority\u201d after announcing their split in August.<\/p>\n The former couple told fans, \u201cOur dogs Ramen and Pinot will continue to be cared for together as brothers. While their humans are no longer romantically involved, we will love and take care of them together.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
