School\u2019s out! Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/strong><\/a>, Janelle James<\/strong><\/a> and more Abbott Elementary<\/em><\/a> stars attended the 2023 SAG Awards<\/a> in style.<\/p>\n The cast strutted on the red carpet<\/a> at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California, on Sunday, February 26. Ralph, 66, donned a dramatic gown by Tadashi Shoji with long draping sleeves. She flashed a wide smile for the cameras as she showed off her angles.<\/p>\n James, meanwhile, opted for a classic all-black look. Her custom Rodarte gown included lace detail on the sleeves and skirt.<\/p>\n The Crashing<\/em> alum joined costar Tyler James Williams<\/strong><\/a> on the red carpet to discuss the ABC comedy\u2019s massive success. Abbott Elementary,<\/em> which premiered in December 2021, received a 2023 SAG nomination<\/a> for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Creator and star Quinta Brunson<\/strong><\/a> is up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s crazy that this is about season 1. \u2026 We\u2019ve been talking a lot about this show that we love,\u201d the Everybody Hates Chris<\/em><\/a> alum, 30, told Entertainment Weekly<\/em> at Sunday\u2019s show. \u201cBut it\u2019s been a long ride.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans have been eagerly waiting<\/a> for James\u2019 character, Gregory, to make a move on Janine (Brunson) \u2014 and sparks finally flew between the teachers<\/a> during the Wednesday, February 22, episode. The twosome attended a conference with their fellow Abbott employees and shared a kiss<\/a> at the Philadelphia Flower Show\u2019s living classroom exhibit.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of the highlights from season 2, y\u2019all haven\u2019t even seen yet,\u201d Williams teased on Sunday when asked about what\u2019s next for Gregory and Janine. \u201cIt\u2019s sometimes hard not to let that [slip].\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Ralph hinted at even more big surprises on the way<\/a> for Abbott Elementary<\/em> fans. \u201cI love the fact that Gregory is taking time to really, really learn about himself as a man. Janine is taking the time to learn about herself as a woman \u2014 working out some of her sticky relationships. I think that is very important for the two of them because I just love Janine and Gregory,\u201d she exclusively told Us Weekly. \u201cI\u2019m just like, \u2018You all respect it. Be careful and take your time.’\u201d<\/p>\n The Moesha<\/em> alum played coy about the future of Gregory and Janine\u2019s relationship<\/a>. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you anything about what\u2019s going to happen with that. But you\u2019re going to learn and see more of people\u2019s families and that\u2019s a wonderful thing,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cAnd I honestly believe that this is going to be a season where people are satisfied. [They will be] very, very satisfied.\u201d<\/p>\n
