Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a> reflected on his relationship with Kaitlyn Bristowe<\/strong><\/a> in his new book, Talk Money to Me<\/em>, saying they \u201cnever had a candid conversation\u201d about money before moving in together.<\/p>\n

In an excerpt from his book per People<\/em><\/a>, Tartick, 35, reflected on being \u201cunemployed\u201d and \u201chomeless\u201d when he began cohabitating with Bristowe, 38, in her Nashville home in May 2019. At the time, Tartick resided in Seattle, Washington, for his job before appearing on Becca Kufrin<\/strong>\u2019s season of The Bachelorette<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tartick continued that he and Bristowe hadn\u2019t had \u201cbasic conversations about money\u201d before he took up residence in her Tennessee home, which she had first \u201crented\u201d with ex-fianc\u00e9e Shawn Booth before buying herself.<\/p>\n

Having these \u201cmandatory\u201d conversations is something he would have changed if he \u201ccould go back in time,\u201d saying he wished he would have shaken himself to \u201cwake the hell up\u201d from the \u201clove clouds.\u201d<\/p>\n

After finishing in third place, Bristowe was in the running to become the next Bachelorette and ultimately beat out Britt [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In his book, Tartick dives even deeper into his and Bristowe\u2019s money dynamics, revealing they had no conversations about each other\u2019s credit scores, incomes and spending habits before shacking up. In addition, they had \u201czero plan in place\u201d about how they would split up their bills while living together. The financier did mention they had a joint bank account that was implemented \u201cyears\u201d after they moved in.<\/p>\n

Tartick and Bristowe announced their breakup in August 2023 after getting engaged in May 2021. They have both talked openly about their relationship and their feelings post-split. However, Bristowe admitted she was \u201cconfused\u201d by her ex acting like a \u201cvictim<\/a>,\u201d noting that they were in a \u201cgood space\u201d after their uncoupling.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really disappointing to me, the way that Jason\u2019s kind of leaning into the victim mentality,\u201d Bristowe said on a January 4 episode of her \u201cOff the Vine\u201d podcast. \u201cI don\u2019t want to dismiss that he\u2019s hurting. I don\u2019t want to dismiss that his feelings are valid and his feelings are hurting. I have talked to him so openly and honestly. We have been so transparent with each other to have respect for one another.\u201d<\/p>\n
