Demi Moore<\/a> is sharing some particularly powerful advice for other families who are living with a family member dealing with dementia.<\/span><\/p>\n Moore recently sat down with <\/span>Andy Cohen’s<\/a> SiriusXM show <\/span>Radio Andy<\/em><\/a> — alongside her fellow <\/span>Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans<\/em><\/a> castmates — and Cohen addressed her blended family and close friendship with ex-husband <\/span>Bruce Willis<\/a>\u00a0amid his health struggles.<\/span><\/p>\n “What message do you have for people out there who have family members who have dementia? Who are maybe caring for them or in their lives?” Cohen asked with compassion.<\/span><\/p>\n “I think the most important thing I could share is just to meet them where they’re at,” Moore shared.<\/span><\/p>\n In March 2020, Willis was diagnosed with\u00a0<\/span>frontotemporal dementia<\/a>, also known as FTD,\u00a0and as a byproduct he struggled with aphasia,\u00a0a brain-mediated inability to speak or to understand speech.<\/span><\/p>\n “When you let go of who they’ve been or who you think they [should be], or who even you would like them to be, you can then really stay in the present,” Moore continued, “and take in the joy and the love that is present and there for all that they are, not all that they’re not.”<\/span><\/p>\n “I’m gonna use that when I go home and see my mom next,” Moore’s <\/span>Feud<\/span><\/em> co-star\u00a0Chlo\u00eb Sevigny chimed in, joking,\u00a0“Not that she has dementia, but she is really annoying.”<\/span><\/p>\n Moore, along with their three daughters, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, have been <\/span>spending a lot of family time with Willis and his wife<\/a>, Emma Heming, as well as their two children —\u00a0Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, 9 — amid the actor’s declining health.<\/span><\/p>\n Shortly after news of Willis’ diagnosis first broke, <\/span>Moore took to Instagram to celebrate the Die Hard<\/em> star’s birthday<\/a>\u00a0and their families’ friendship.<\/span><\/p>\n “Happy birthday, Bruce! Thankful for our blended family \ud83e\udd0d,” Moore captioned the fun photo.<\/span><\/p>\n
