Over the years, casts and costars have come together at awards shows to celebrate one another \u2014 and to revisit their old friends<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAppropriately enough, the theme for tonight is \u2018together again,’\u201d Lin-Manuel Miranda<\/strong><\/a> said at the 28th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards<\/a> in February 2022, while opening the show alongside his former Hamilton<\/em> costars Leslie Odom Jr.<\/strong><\/a> and Daveed Diggs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The Broadway vets weren\u2019t the only ones who brought a dose of nostalgia<\/a> to the ceremony. Later in the evening, Scandal<\/em> alums Kerry Washington<\/strong><\/a> and Tony Goldwyn<\/strong><\/a> reunited to present the award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series. \u201cShould I read the nominees?\u201d Goldwyn asked, before Washington channeled her iconic character<\/a>, Olivia Pope. \u201cIt\u2019s handled,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n However, it was Lisa Kudrow<\/strong><\/a> and Mira Sorvino<\/strong><\/a> who stole all of the attention that night as they recreated a scene from Romy and Michelle\u2019s High School Reunion<\/em><\/a>. \u201cDo you think that this is the cutest anyone\u2019s ever looked at an awards show?\u201d the Friends<\/em> alum asked her former costar, referring to their blue and pink outfits<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI just realized this. We\u2019re wearing great ensembles while at the same time presenting great ensembles,\u201d Sorvino responded.<\/p>\n Kudrow continued: \u201cYou are so right. You\u2019re so right, and these cast ensembles are so hilarious, and you knew that ensemble had two meanings. OK, you\u2019re a genius.\u201d<\/p>\n Costar reunions have long been a staple of awards shows. In September 2019, most of the cast of Game of Thrones<\/em><\/a> came together for an epic on-stage reunion<\/a> at the Emmy Awards. \u201cI think all of us agree how amazing the entire last season was for us,\u201d Sophie Turner<\/strong><\/a> said at the time, several months after the HBO series aired its final episode<\/a>. \u201cWe had no idea how it would end, who would betray whom and who ended up with the prize.\u201d<\/p>\n Adding that the cast wished Game of Thrones<\/em> \u201ccould have gone on forever,\u201d Maisie Williams<\/strong><\/a> explained, \u201cTonight is a chance to once again thank all of those who watched.\u201d<\/p>\n At the same event, a clip of Turner hugging her onscreen brother, Kit Harington<\/strong><\/a>, went viral. \u201cYou look so handsome!\u201d the X-Men: Dark Phoenix<\/em> star exclaimed, holding Harington\u2019s face<\/a> in her hands.<\/p>\n Many former Saturday Night Live<\/em> performers<\/a> have also teamed up over the years, including Amy Poehler<\/strong><\/a> and Tina Fey<\/strong><\/a>, who have hosted the Golden Globes<\/a> together four times. \u201cTina and I are also both nominees tonight,\u201d Poehler said during their inaugural performance at the 2013 Golden Globes, before adding, \u201cTina, I just want to say that I very much hope I win.\u201d<\/p>\n
