Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> star Wes Bentley<\/strong><\/a> reacted to rumors that Kevin Costner<\/strong><\/a> plans to leave the series \u2014 and he doesn\u2019t think viewers need to worry about the show\u2019s future<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThe news that\u2019s come out recently about the show is, you know, it\u2019s above my pay grade. Different people making decisions,\u201d the American Horror Story<\/em><\/a> alum, 44, told Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Saturday, February 25. \u201cI know that they\u2019re still working on \u2026 working things out with everyone, to make sure we shoot. And I\u2019m confident we will. We always have before.\u201d<\/p>\n The Interstellar<\/em> actor added: \u201cI think it\u2019s probably a bit of drama over nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Deadline<\/em> reported that Paramount Network is exploring the possibility of ending the western drama<\/a> in its current form because of scheduling disagreements with Costner, 68. Instead, the franchise would reportedly move forward with a spinoff series led by Matthew McConaughey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The network, however, denied the report and did not confirm any projects in development with the Dallas Buyers Club<\/em> actor, 53.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone<\/em> and we hope that\u2019s the case for a long time to come,\u201d a spokesperson for the series told Deadline<\/em> in a statement at the time. \u201cThanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan<\/strong>, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we\u2019d love to partner.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the denial, rumors of drama escalated when Puck<\/em> published an expos\u00e9 titled \u201cCasualties of the Costner-Yellowstone Crossfire\u201d on Tuesday, February 21. The outlet reported that disagreements between the Dances With Wolves<\/em> director and Sheridan, 52, have led to delays in filming the second half of season 5, which was originally set to premiere this summer. According to Puck<\/em>, those episodes haven\u2019t started shooting yet and will now air in November.<\/p>\n
