Bryan Cranston wants to spend more time with wife Robin Dearden<\/p>\n
The former ‘Breaking Bad’ actor declared last year he would be taking a year off in 2026, after he turns 70, and he is looking forward to being able to enjoy “real life” and more quality time with his wife Robin Dearden, who he married in 1989 after meeting on the set of ‘Airwolf’.<\/p>\n
He told People magazine: \u201cAt some point I want to slow it down.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to have more life experiences, I want to travel, I want to feel it. When you\u2019re working, I\u2019ve been working for the last 25 years nonstop and that\u2019s not real life. <\/p>\n
“And I really do feel like I want more real life experiences. I want to adjust the relationship that the industry has with me and also that it\u2019s created for my marriage. I just want to kind of level that out and experience something new.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nAsked if spending more time with his wife is part of that, he added: \u201cYes! I like her. 35 years married, she\u2019s a lovely lady.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nBut one thing Bryan, 67, won’t do with his 70-year-old wife – with whom he has 30-year-old daughter Taylor – is go shopping.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cSomeone said, \u2018You don\u2019t go shopping with your wife?\u2019 I go, \u2018No! Why would I do that? I don\u2019t like it!\u2019 I just don\u2019t like it and she doesn\u2019t like things that I like to do either.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe ‘Argylle’ actor believes the key to his lasting marriage is to have found the “right” person and not to worry about not being entirely alike in all ways.<\/p>\n
\nDiscussing the secret to his relationship, he said: \u201cMarry the right person.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI think there are five things that you should look for in a mate. Whatever those five things are to you, you need those five things. After that, let it go. We\u2019re never going to be completely alike on everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
