The 28-year-old \u2018Houdini\u2019 singer has recently been staying in the infamous hotel while promoting her new single and upcoming album, and says she constantly wonders about the mysteries and scandals that have hit the celebrity hotspot.<\/p>\n
Referring to the Chateau suite where \u2018The Blues Brothers\u2019 comic John died from a drugs overdose more than 40 years ago, she told Rolling Stone magazine during a chat at the hotel: \u201cIf these walls could talk, I wonder what they would say.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t go into Bungalow Three.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rolling Stone noted that despite its grim past, Dua \u201clikes coming to Chateau when she\u2019s out in Los Angeles\u201d as it has a \u201cspooky vibe\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nIt added the singer loved hearing about the secret tunnels she has heard about beneath illusionist Harry Houdini\u2019s estate in LA\u2019s Laurel Canyon, and said she hosted three fans events there to promote her recent \u2018Houdini\u2019 single \u2013 the lead track from her upcoming third album.<\/p>\n
\nJohn Belushi was an original \u2018Saturday Night Live\u2019 cast member and checked into his favourite private bungalow at the Chateau on 28 February, 1982, nearly a week before he suffered his fatal overdose on 5 March aged 33.<\/p>\n
\nA recent book titled \u2018The Castle on Sunset: Life, Death, Love, Art, and Scandal at Hollywood\u2019s Chateau\u2019 by Shawn Levy, gave details of the comic\u2019s final days.<\/p>\n
\nIt said the \u2018Animal House\u2019 star was visited by celebrity friends including Robert De Niro and Robin Williams before he died \u2013 but claimed Robert left after being left freaked out by the state of John\u2019s $250-a-night bungalow.<\/p>\n
\nThe book revealed cocaine had been piled on the living room table, there was dirty laundry everywhere and the suite was littered with discarded pizza boxes and wine bottles.<\/p>\n
\nIt described the lounge area as a compete \u201cshambles\u201d, but added it was not just \u201csloppy\u201d but appeared to have been \u201cactually trashed, as if in a rage\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nJohn was found unconscious by his bodyguard Bill Wallace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
