Howard Stern<\/strong><\/a> thinks Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> \u201chas to\u201d marry girlfriend Taylor Swift<\/strong> <\/a>for his career, but Stephen A. Smith<\/strong> made it clear that he thinks the NFL star has a bright future regardless.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst of all, Travis Kelce has to marry Taylor Swift, right?\u201d Stern, 70, said during the Tuesday, January 23, episode of SiriusXM\u2019s The Howard Stern Show<\/em><\/a>. \u201cHe will then get a movie career. He\u2019ll be bigger than The Rock. I mean, this is it. This is his chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith, 56, quickly corrected Stern, noting that Kelce, 34, is set to have a big career after his retirement based on his own talents. \u201cHe is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He\u2019s on the verge of potentially being a three-time super bowl champion,\u201d he explained. \u201cHe\u2019s universally recognized as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of football. [He\u2019s] a good looking dude. Got style<\/a>, got flair, got skills. He\u2019s got a future in this business [broadcasting] once he retires from football, I\u2019m here to tell you that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sports broadcaster went on to call Kelce \u201cthe total package\u201d who is also known throughout his industry as \u201ca really, really good dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTaylor Swift and Travis Kelce are all anyone can talk about. Swift and Kelce were first linked in July 2023 when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared he attempted to ask Swift out after attending her Eras Tour. \u201cI was a little butthurt I didn\u2019t get to hand her one of the bracelets I [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Smith made it clear that he was pointing out Kelce\u2019s merits, but he certainly doesn\u2019t have a problem with Swift, who started dating the athlete over the summer. The ESPN personality even recently became a Swiftie more than a month before the superstar began attending Kansas City Chiefs games.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t get me wrong. Taylor Swift is a good-looking woman. She\u2019s an incredible artist. I went to her concert with my daughter,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n

Stern was shocked that Smith was at The Eras Tour<\/em><\/a>. \u201cMan, Howard, it was off the chain. I loved it. I couldn\u2019t believe how much I loved it,\u201d he marveled. \u201cI don\u2019t listen to Taylor Swift\u2019s music \u2014 until that day! She was phenomenal. I went to SoFi stadium in L.A..\u201d<\/p>\n

He attended alongside his daughters, Samantha and Nyla, who are in their early teens.<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw Taylor Swift receive a nine-minute standing ovation in between songs. They wouldn\u2019t let her \u2014 these little girls, they know every song. They know every lyric of every song. Black, white, latina, asian, everything! It was a mosaic. I saw everything. And I\u2019m telling you right now, no one was sitting down,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cHoward, are you ready for this? I\u2019m 56 years old. I stood up for three-and-a-half hours. I never sat down. I didn\u2019t sit down for three-and-a-half hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smith previously came to Swift\u2019s defense<\/a> as \u201cdads, Brads and Chads\u201d complained about Swift\u2019s support of Kelce taking up time from the broadcast<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to take a moment to come to the defense of Taylor Swift,\u201d he said earlier this month during an episode of Mad Dog\u2019s A-List segment on ESPN. \u201cEverybody\u2019s sitting up there and acting like she\u2019s some kind of impediment.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cExcuse me? She did her job. That Eras Tour \u2014 off the chain, generated billions. She\u2019s going to support her dude. To show up at a football game and the cameras are on her \u2014 that ain\u2019t her fault! And excuse me, by the way, she went to the games after the concerts. It\u2019s not like she used the games to bump up the concerts.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Smith, critics are too focused on trying to find a reason to dislike Swift.<\/p>\n
