Thiessen took to Instagram<\/a> on Tuesday, January 23, to commemorate her 50th birthday with a photo of herself wrapped in nothing but a bedsheet. The actress posed with her long hair covering one of her eyes and one arm holding the sheet over her chest.<\/p>\n

\u201cOver the hill. #thisis50,\u201d Thiessen captioned the steamy snap.<\/p>\n

Friends and fans alike flooded the comments section with celebratory messages and reactions to the birthday photo shoot.<\/p>\n

\u201cWelcome to the 5th level kid!\u201d Thiessen\u2019s former Saved By the Bell<\/em> costar Mario Lopez<\/strong> wrote.<\/p>\n

Jenna Fischer<\/strong> chimed in, \u201cWell done. Starting the 50s exactly right. Happy Birthday!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

Jennifer Love Hewit<\/strong>t, for her part, reflected on her initial impression of Thiessen. \u201cHappy Birthday! I remember knowing you as a teenager and hoping to be as gorgeous as you one day! And I still feel the same! You make 50 look great! \u2764\ufe0f,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I was turning 40, I felt like I had more personal pressure on myself to look the best I could,\u201d the actress said during an August 2023 appearance on the \u201cGood Instincts\u201d podcast. \u201cAt [almost] 50, I feel very confident in knowing that I\u2019m doing the best I can. \u2026 I feel so much more at ease now than I did 10 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thiessen attributed the shift to \u201cme not giving a s\u2014t\u201d or \u201cjust me growing up.\u201d She acknowledged that \u201cpeople will say things\u201d and \u201cexpect [her] to look a certain way,\u201d but she\u2019s given up trying to meet other people\u2019s standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, it\u2019s just not realistic,\u201d she said. \u201cI can only age the way I\u2019m going to age, right?\u201d<\/p>\n
