The \u2018Gone Girl\u2019 actress, 32, has been bringing up her son Sylvester as a single mum after having him nearly three years ago with her 36-year-old film producer former husband Sebastian Bear-McClard \u2013 who is rumoured to have cheated on her and is also currently facing allegations of sexual misconduct by multiple women in September 2022. <\/p>\n

Emily told Glamour in an online video chat: \u201cI have two things I qualify as my greatest achievements. <\/p>\n

\u201cOne is becoming a mother, and the everyday kind of achievements I have with my son \u2013 successes and victories and just the relationship that I\u2019m cultivating with him, I think is something I\u2019m extremely proud of. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then I would say writing my book was another huge achievement for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nEmily added the biggest hurdle she has faced as a woman has been battling clich\u00e9d representations of females. <\/p>\n

\nShe went on: \u201cMy greatest challenge, I think, has been fighting stereotypes, and being able to be a multifaceted person who, you know, can kind of connect to all parts of myself, particularly in the public eye. <\/p>\n

\n\u201cI found that to be very difficult, and to receive kind of a lot of backlash for the moments that I step out of my lane, so to speak, and I would say that\u2019s an ongoing struggle for me, but it\u2019s something that also I face in my private life, and I know a lot of female friends who face that, who are not famous or in the public eye, so I think it\u2019s really about perseverance, and being true to yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
