Greta Gerwig<\/a>\u2019s smash \u2018Barbie\u2019 film, worked with her stylist Andrew Mukamal on the project, which has been announced om Instagram. <\/p>\nAndrew said he had collaborated with the star actress on a fashion book chronicling the \u2018Barbie\u2019 movie\u2019s press tour and its style moments, with <\/p>\n
\u2018Barbie: The World Tour\u2019 \u2013 priced at $50 \u2013 set to hit bookshelves on 8 March. <\/p>\n
It is two days before the Oscars, which snubbed Margot by not giving her a best actress nod in the 2024 Oscars nominees, which were announced Tuesday (23.01.24), for her titular role in \u2018Barbie\u2019. <\/p>\n
\nThe book\u2019s cover shows the actress dressed in a pink tweed Chanel skirt suit and a sequined bra top and lying flat in a doll-like pose while she\u2019s surrounded by pink Chanel bags and other accessories. <\/p>\n
\nAndrew, who was behind all of Margot\u2019s looks as she promoted director Greta\u2019s doll blockbuster, said the book was \u201can idea I had in my living room when I started dreaming about Margot\u2019s wardrobe for the \u2018Barbie\u2019 press tour in March 2023\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nHe added he \u201cnever could have imagined\u201d the book would take flight \u201cjust a few months later\u201d, and hailed it as a \u201conce in a lifetime project.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nAndrew and Margot worked together to chronicle her living doll outfits, with the book\u2019s publisher noting that since the \u2018Barbie\u2019 press tour was cut short due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, the duo made sure to include looks fans never got to see. <\/p>\n
\nThe images in \u2018Barbie: World Tour\u2019 were shot by legendary fashion photographer Craig McDean. <\/p>\n
\nIt will also feature handwritten contributions from the designers behind the looks as well as looks at what is being billed as a \u201ctreasure trove\u201d of \u201crare\u201d materials from Mattel\u2019s Barbie fashion archives. <\/p>\n
\nAndrew also said the book is a \u201clabour of love\u201d and said it was \u201cdedicated to all the Barbie lovers and fashion fans around the world\u201d. <\/p>\n
\nDespite Margot missing out on a best actress Oscar nomination for playing Barbie, Greta\u2019s movie did land nods for best picture and eight other awards, including best costumes. <\/p>\n
\nThe nominations include one for Margot\u2019s role as a producer on the film.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
