Like many a\u2019Swiftie out there, Ryan Hurd<\/strong> is relying on Taylor Swift<\/strong>\u2019s music in a time of heartbreak.<\/p>\n

Hurd, 37, shared a video on Monday, January 22, of himself covering Swift\u2019s \u201cNow That We Don\u2019t Talk (Taylor\u2019s Version),\u201d one of the \u201cFrom the Vault\u201d tracks from 1989 (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em>. In the clip, Hurd sat in front of a piano while Teddy Reimer<\/strong> played a guitar in the background. Hurd delivered a faithful rendition of the song, replacing its pop production with a little bit of country twang.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery time I cover a Taylor song, I am amazed at how perfectly they are written,\u201d Hurd, who previously released a cover of Swift\u2019s \u201cFalse God\u201d in 2020, captioned the video. \u201cHope everybody has a beautiful week, let us know what you think of this one and share it with yo frands. \u201cNow That We Don\u2019t Talk (Taylor\u2019s Version)\u201d debuted in October 2023. It was written for Swift\u2019s 2014 record 1989<\/em> but didn\u2019t make the final cut. Though Swift hasn\u2019t confirmed the subject of the track \u2014 which is about an ex moving on \u2014 many listeners suspect she was inspired by her whirlwind romance<\/a> with Harry Styles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMaren Morris and Ryan Hurd\u2018s love story had all the makings of a great country song before they called it quits. Morris and Hurd met during a writing session for Tim McGraw\u2019s song \u201cLast Turn Home\u201d in 2013. The duo were friends for two years before their relationship turned romantic. Hurd\u2019s cover comes four months after Maren Morris<\/strong><\/a> filed for divorce<\/a> after five years of marriage. In her October 2023 filing, she cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the cause of the breakup.<\/p>\n

A source told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> exclusively at the time that Hurd \u201cwasn\u2019t expecting\u201d Morris, 33, to end their marriage, noting that the decision seemed to \u201ccome out of the blue.\u201d However, the insider told Us<\/em> that Morris and Hurd are \u201copposites\u201d in terms of personality, which could have proven \u201cdifficult\u201d at times.<\/p>\n

Hurd and Morris settled the terms<\/a> of their divorce three months later. The musicians divided their assets per their prenup and will share joint custody of their 3-year-old son, Hayes. Morris will also pay Hurd $2,100 in child support each month.<\/p>\n

Despite calling it quits, Hurd and Morris have attempted to put aside any bad blood for the sake of their son. Weeks after Morris filed for divorce, she and Hurd reunited on Halloween<\/a> to take Hayes out for Trick-or-Treating.<\/p>\n
