For the first time ever, <\/span>Britney Spears<\/a> fans will <\/span>finally<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em>be able to stream her 2002 film, <\/span>Crossroads.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n On Monday, Netflix announced that the movie — which also stars <\/span>Orange Is the New Black<\/span><\/em>‘s <\/span>Taryn Manning<\/a> and <\/span>Guardians of the Galaxy<\/span><\/em> star <\/span>Zoe\u00a0Salda\u00f1a<\/a> — will hit the streamer in February.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “The first movie to ever star the one and only britney spears has never been available on streaming… but that’s about to change!” Netflix’s caption read alongside a picture of the <\/span>Crossroads <\/span><\/em>poster. “So thrilled to announce that CROSSROADS will finally be available on netflix \ud83d\udea8 GLOBALLY \ud83d\udea8 starting february 15.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The announcement immediately caught the attention of thousands of fans who rejoiced in the news.<\/span><\/p>\n “The news I didn\u2019t know I needed today,” one person wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “OMG OMG OMG I PRAYED FOR TIMES LIKE THIS! WE WILL BE STREAMING, NOTE THAT!!” another shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “*cancels all plans for Feb 15*,” wrote a third person.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The film was written by <\/span>Grey’s Anatomy<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>How to Get Away With Murder<\/span><\/em> creator <\/span>Shonda Rhimes<\/a> and was the first starring role for Spears, who up until that point was mostly known for her music career. Following her role in <\/span>Crossroads<\/span><\/em>, Spears would go on to appear in shows like <\/span>Glee<\/span><\/em>, <\/span>How I Met Your Mother,<\/span><\/em> and <\/span>Will and Grace,\u00a0<\/span><\/em>while also continuing her music career.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Crossroads <\/span><\/em>also stars Dan Aykroyd, <\/span>Kim Cattrall<\/a>, Anson Mount, and <\/span>Justin Long<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “The story of three childhood friends, Lucy, Kit and Mimi, who, after eight years apart, rediscover their friendship on a cross-country trip.
