The 51-year-old rap star recently confirmed that he’s dating Jennifer Hudson<\/a>, and Common – whose real name is Lonnie Lynn – has now admitted that he’s open to tying the knot one day.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’, Common<\/a> shared: “I feel like I have grown and the work that I\u2019ve done on myself has allowed me to see that I am a marrying type.”<\/p>\n

The rapper explained that he’s “capable” of marrying someone and “at some point in my life, I may want to do that”.<\/p>\n

Common<\/a> added: “I would communicate with that person and if she\u2019s feeling that, then why not?”<\/p>\n

\nThe ‘Drivin’ Me Wild’ hitmaker feels his attitude towards relationships has matured over time.<\/p>\n

\nCommon – who previously dated Tiffany Haddish – explained: “Certain things that I would do in relationships were based on childhood experiences and I wasn\u2019t being totally present in the relationship. I would carry things that had affected me before and would project that on to the person.<\/p>\n

\n“Once you start recognising that and just having an understanding of, \u2018I need to be present,\u2019 and you\u2019re conscious of that, you can step back and say, \u2018Hey, let me assess this and really be true and honest with what this relationship is.\u2019 And not bring my garbage, my baggage.”<\/p>\n

\nCommon and Jennifer, 42, actually confirmed their romance during an appearance together on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’.<\/p>\n

\nThe rap star shared: “I\u2019m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. She\u2019s smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she\u2019s talented.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
